Show Us Your Motors!

Cleaned mine this morning, and there haven't been any naff Fords here for a while so here we go. I still love how it looks for what is now a fairly old design.

Great looking car in Titanium X and Titanium X Sport trim. Still looks fresh just a shame hardly anyone bought the mk4 Mondeo in decent trim and colour. Twice I have planned on getting one in the last 2 years and just gave up in the end it's ridiculous how few petrol there are available with either the 2.5T or the 2.0 ecoboost and then trying to find a Titanium x Sport trim that's in black, white or grey is nigh on impossible

Most people want a BMW 2.0d on finance innit. Rather than have a well specced and quick ford. I saw a last of the line titx estate in white while going to Folkstone and it went and looked fantastic.

The fastest Mondeo is slower than a lowly 320d.
Which engine would you prefer in a new 3 Series? The 20d, or 30i (with basically the same power and torque figures as the Mondeo in question)? :p

The 330i is considerably faster to 60 than the Mondeo on paper which highlights the drivetrain advantages :)

How is it? If your talking about a top spec M Sport 320d with X drive that are about 10k more new than a Mondeo then your not exactly getting much extra power for your money but a standard 320d is still around the 7-7.5 second 0-60 figures which is the same as a 2.5T or 2.0 ecoboost in the mk4 or the 2.0td 210ps or the 2.0 ecoboost 240ps in the new mk5 Mondeo

New Mk5 Mondeo 2.0T 240 0-60 7.9, new F30 320d non XDrive 0-60 7.2.
Mondeo is 7.6 according to parkers for the 210ps TD and 240ps Ecoboost. 0.4 seconds difference between them and the 320d. Which is basically nothing.
To be fair the current 320d performance has really improved over the 2 previous generations

E90 which is the correct generation the best 4 cylinder diesel is high 7s whereas an ecoboost Mondeo might be similar 0-60 due to drive train but in the real world it would be faster.

I am also surprised the ecoboost is quoted as being that slow as my Saab 9-5 Aero only has 10 extra bhp yet will do the 0-60 dash a whole second and a half quicker and is also a heavier car . Not to mention the ford has a dual clutch transmission!
