Currently doing the best with what I've got!

Yes, just a standard single garage, all crap in on a purpose built shelf which allows the short Exige to slot underneath with just enough room for the bike (on a side stand only) to fit at the front

Unfortunately Cindy's new BMW is going to have to continue living outside...

Finally sorted out a new car for my girlfriend. After swapping the E39 540i for an Exige we needed something a little more practical.

Out with the old:

2.0TSi Scirocco with a good number of options. Listed for sale on Thursday evening and sold on Saturday with a token £100 off asking, all in £2k better than WBAC's pre-haggle offer.

In with the new:

Huge spec:

Auto
Professional media and navigation
Harmon kardon
PDC front and back with reverse camera
Adaptive M suspension
Adaptive LED lights
Tinted rear windows
Folding mirrors
Heated seats
Folding seats
Cruise control
Comfort access

On top of the standard bits (leather, climate etc.)

Little bit of an upgrade for her and bloody quick, likely leave my Exige for dead until we hit a corner.

Think we've now got a near perfect 2 car garage! (Especially as I've got a CBR600F for the commute!)
Nice - From Imperial Cars per chance? :) https://www.imperialcarsupermarkets.co.uk/used-car/bmw/1-series/u51671/m135i-5dr-step-auto/
I saw it on their site a month ago and noticed it was still up for sale at the weekend which surprised me given it was an LCI with a great spec and price.

Was indeed :)

Only time I've not got a decent discount (beyond halving the APR), unlike the other couple there that walked - took the view that it was already a good spec and price, couldn't find another facelift 5 door auto within £2k and the spec was so much better here.

At 60k miles in 2.5 years it is a bit high but Cindy does all of 5k miles a year so should average out over our time with it whilst making it cheaper now. Apparently no service due for over a year (just done) and over 50k on both F&R brakes.

Are u the guy that was paying crazy money to lease that MG after giving one back because it was faulty? :D
Lexus looks nice I like the colour with the cream interior. Even though it’s older it surely feels like an upgrade?
Do u mind me asking how much you got it for? I’ve considered the is250 many times as nice examples can be had for 3-4K but the worry of potential big bills and Lexus parts costs has always put me off.

Yep that was me! I do like the colour too - even though it's much older (it's 10 years old) it does feel like a real upgrade

I paid £4,150 from a used car dealer. I felt that that was a good price and about the going rate. I'm also a little worried but reliability is said to be top notch so it's just the potential large parts costs

Their car prices are good enough already - it’s refreshing to see that approach. Where something isn’t advertised at a comedy figure and you have to go in, do the bartering process so they make you think you are getting a great deal with 20% off  The only annoying thing about their sales was them pushing the GuardX protection (£300) and extended warranty at ‘£1k’ per year but we can do it for £500 per year as a special offer

Had the guard X added and removed straight away without any hassle or issue.

One thing that did stick in my mind was the admin fee which was waived under absolutely no circumstance.

The guy was selling it as "we've decoded the vin and checked the full spec" - as had I using the vin decoder.

"A full HPI check" - so what any dealer would have to do to cover their obligations,

"a 116 point inspection" - and???

"A 6 month warranty with £500 claim limit" - if it's broken you'll be fixing it under the sale of goods act

"Made sure it's got at least 3 months MOT" - its less than 3 years old....

A load of ******** but paying an extra £180 is better than an extra £1.5-2k elsewhere.
