Well at least it's not gold/grey. Far prefer driving it to the X4.

Hah! To be fair it wasn't a bad car, I can see the appeal for more... elderly folks. Not really my cup of tea though.

I noticed there was a load of foam padding behind the kidney grille, not sure if the dealer forgot to remove it or it's by design.

What has actually happened within BMW that these things got passed off as acceptable?

Don't see many around either, assuming they haven't been a massive success

Hmmm that doesn't look fun to drive. Am I right?

For an MPV it drives OK but no an MPV is not fun to drive which is to its advantage, to make it fun to drive would make it ride like an X4 which is appalling.

See enough of them around here, I can see them appealing to someone who wants/needs an MPV with some prestige. This one is poverty spec but spec it with some decent seats and Pro-Nav and it would be a nice enough place to be. My mother actually wants to take a look to replace her C-Max as she needs to be able to kart my grandfathers wheelchair and assorted paraphernalia around and frankly couldn't care less about how it handles or 0-60 times.

I had no issues with the plod when I had German plates.

All down to luck I think.

Loads of people have been caught and fined, others not.

Depends how many coppers you encounter, and whether or not they have anything better to do!

Considering I used to pass them daily never any issues. Neighbour however did and got fined. I wouldn't risk it now tbh.

I drove the Celica around with no front plate for a while, and the red MX5. Passed police plenty of times in both. Also passed loads of police in the Eunos with the illegal small front plate and they didn't seem to bother, but one quiet Sunday afternoon a traffic copper spotted it, pulled me, and fined me £100...

Thanks PC Butcher...

Actually selling her now & unsure how much to ask, don't think she's worth much though.
Celica T-Sport. Even with 136k miles she still shifts when the cams lift.
[Edit] Is there a Celica expert on here as the owners club where its for sale are saying its not a T-Sport even though its on the log book & HPI check I did years ago.

Nice, wish there were some roads like that where I live :p

But reminds me I need to whip out my action cam too, get some exhaust clips etc

Doubt you get many roads in space....

It's pretty good up here. Plenty of opportunities to learn a car's characteristics.

It's definitely a T-Sport, they're just trying to get you to drop price, or are being thrown by the lack of rear spoiler.
As to its value, you are absolutely right when you say not much. Between £1000-1300, depending on condition - probably the lower end looking at the alloys.

Thanks, yep just discovered the T-Sport was released Aug 2001 . Although, apart from mine having the revised 2ZZ-GE engine with lift-bolt fix I can't see any difference to the 190
Yeah the wheels are now corroded, rust at rear of rear wheel arch, behind nearside rear window & a front fog light broken but new they're £276. I thought if someone wanted a VVTLi cheap this is it & the cost to tidy it up means I'm asking £975.
