No. I upped my budget to get something that was a bit nicer than a £400 binner. I'd have been wetting myself if I got this car for £400.
Something doesn't look right about that car. Are those bumpers/skirts an afterthought?
It's a factory ordered Votex bodykit. Included in the original bill of sale, which came with the car.
Looks like aftermarket skirt kit.
As above. Factory kit.
Awesome condition that Audi. I thought the wheel arches were not galvanized?
Tax ain't bad at £305 but its MOT is due in less than a month. The mpg would make it a weekend car?
MOT was done yesterday, and so has 13 months almost. So that's a bonus. It does need it's timing belt done though, so that sucks a little. But did give me room for negotiation, so not all bad.
MPG is worse than I thought. I wasn't expecting it to be worse than my S4, but todays running around didn't return a great figure on the OBC. Perhaps this one isn't very accurate though, as the miles to empty still suggests a 360 mile tank (after 30 miles or so). So if it cracks the 300 miles mark then that'll be fine. The Edition 30 was around 350 miles per tank, and I was happy with that. But this probably has an extra 5 litres or something of tank in it.
Not really a weekend car, no. It'll get roughly the same use profile as the ED30 had, at least initially. So around 10k per year. Wife usually taking it to work. Me taking it for spins etc... Mostly the kids will still be in the Alhambra.
Once I sort out the proper replacement to the ED30, then this will be moved back to an occasional car. Taking me up and down to the airport, and my office when they need me (100 mile round trip). That sort of thing.
This car was really bought as we need two cars when I travel for work (one for my wife to get to work in, and the other for my mother ferrying the kids around to all their activities). And I'm going away tomorrow. So couldn't get sorted with the proper replacement for the ED30 in time. This came up, reasonably local (only 40 miles or so away), and at a price that seemed reasonable considering the spec.
The Sports sit 20mm lower or something than regular A4's, so that "may" be something to do with it. Although there was a mention of lowering springs on it. Haven't had a chance to properly investigate yet.
