Are there any mods under the bonnet or is it still on stock power @Conscript?

It has an Ace CS400 exhaust manifold and a high flow sports cat mated with an Ecutek remap at the moment. Doesn't add much more power (about 10% over stock, peak) but it eliminates the big torque dip in the midrange which makes the engine much more flexible. No other mods planned at the moment. Thinking about upgrading the rest of the exhaust at some point, but I don't want anything too obnoxious

I love the look of the GT86. A guy in the village has one in white, but with gold alloys and some kind of up-rated exhaust that makes it sound superb. Only thing that puts me off is that they look as though they should be faster than they actually are.

TBH the early ones bounce around like nobody's business and the clock is straight out of the 1980s.
Bloody good fun, mind!

Fitted a new bonnet scoop. It has double the opening and I've already noticed a good 10+c reduction in Boost temps

Recently purchased this 97’ E36 328i Sport with 71k. Haven’t got round to taking my own pictures yet.

Have since changed the wing mirrors to stock E36 coupe mirrors as per factory.

Must be one of the nicest 328i sports in the country and I’m not exaggerating!

Hnnnnnnnng :p

Very nice that. :) I've been offered a 328i sport as a swap for my Corolla, but it's an auto, and convertible. :(

Very rare indeed, there’s probably more tidy E30 325i sports around than genuine 328 sports left!

The market didn’t appreciate them for so long that most ended up as drift cars or just wrecked.

This is one of the few to have survived. It drives like a new car. The smoothness of it overal was surprising. I owned one in the exact same specification apart from the rear spoiler about 12 years ago. When I saw this I had to have it. Is kept garaged and will only be used on nice days.

It’s rare enough now that I’ve had a few people comment on it on the few occasions it’s been out and about. A great era for BMW when they were still genuinely desirable in a way that I don’t think they are any more. (That’s not to say they make bad cars now - they don’t...)
