Hey @Acme

This is what a proper '5 looks like ;)

In fairness you didn't pay £450 for yours. :p

Even your wheels were 4x that.

I can thrash mine about rain or shine without a care, wash it with a broom, kick the back out when I feel like it, crash it and fix it for 50p. :D

Kick the back out with double digit horse power? Maybe when it is wet and icy!

Lol, I'm only joking.. mine was trashed everywhere it went too ;D that's what they're designed to do.

Wasn't there a set the same as your fronts for sale on Facebook not long ago?

I've never looked, these are a bizarre fitment so I'm not likely to find another set. I just need to get the bend in one repaired and I fit the other pair back on the rear.

I should just buy some lighter wheels though, 6ULs are nearly 2kg a piece lighter

What's the crack with the MX-5 and Mondeo love on here? I've never driven one, but is it all about the drive and fun factor because they're not very fast.

There is an MX-5 joke there….

Anyway, is it me but is that car sitting a bit high? it's like its on stilts.

Yeah mk3s always sit high with their fat Face etc... Not pretty cars! 3.5s were much better. Don't get me wrong they're still great to drive but not to look at haha.

Pretty much, excellent chassis dynamics. They are like go-carts. Though the slowness of my three was and is the most annoying thing about them. Can always add boost though!

Oh and they are mostly cheap. And parts are cheap. And mods are cheap. And there is a massive worldwide support and aftermarket community.

I'm going to go against the grain and say that a ratty looking MX5 looks pretty good, as long as it's properly sorted mechanically. :)

It could do with a Torsen LSD and the wheels are a bit on the heavy side but aside from that its pretty good. Track tyres, VLSD, Koni coilovers, 70K mile healthy engine. :)
