Well the new temporary car until I'm settled in the new job/place etc is all lined up. MX5 sold, deposit paid etc.
Ended up just spending pocket change on a Volvo S60, 2001, loads of history, recent cambelt, long MOT. So no excitement just yet. Well maybe a little bit because its a 250HP 2.3 T5 manual which I will probably immediately re-map to about 300HP...

I really *really* don't want to have to drive it on the motorway daily... And unbelievably I sold it for more than I paid for the Volvo...

Plus it will get the 5 cylinder turbo Volvo itch out of my system.

You mean v70? Or s60? Should have got a focus st.

S60 sorry. Sort of wine red-ish colour with a horrid dirty beige interior with fake wood.

Be careful with the 2.3 T5, they aren't as strong as the 2.4 T5. I had my 2.4 T5 running 323BHP with a remap

Hmmm...You're not coming down south to pick it up are you? My neighbour has just sold his because he was fed up with the electrics failing randomly.
It's a burgundy-ish red S60, same era, not sure on reg.
