Can the conspiracy theories. This is a car discussion forum and I like to discuss cars. My previous car was a modified Zetec powered Mondeo, so I have an interest and I'm curious about your engine. Why not share more details with us?
 
Hehe little and large, I was parked next to a classic mini in the office ...err pub car park a few weeks back, really makes you realise just how tiny the original mini is. The whole car will pretty well fit within the wheel-base of a standard XJ, let alone a lwb version.

150miles wtf is wrong with your car! My old SPI would do 250 to a tank and my sprite will do at least 200 even a bit out of tune.

Thanks mate, Yeah very different to the type-R. I needed something more economical as I'm doing around 20-25k a year.

I've always loved the look of the MK3 Mondeo and have been looking for one for some time. I wanted the ST220 but didn't want to be on first name terms with the petrol garages :D

Have to say its a fantastic drive. Love the torque of the 2.2 and currently getting 49.3 mpg :)

The engine as it is now is a dunnell 2l 16v zetec e on throttle bodies, sliver top, omex ecu(changed from cfms due to running problems), farndon crankshaft, quickshift, fully stripped, rollcage, etc etc.
Like i said i don't use it that much anyone, as westfield has said already they become very difficult to use with that sort of power through the front wheels.:(
pity really, im sure i'll find a suitable donor for the engine soon tho :)
always fancied a an st24, what did you have?
 
I had a late Mk2 2.0 Ghia X with the full RSAP bodykit, ST24 4 spoke wheels and a stainless exhuast :) Engine was stock but I was suprised when it made 141bhp on the rollers. It was a blacktop.

It's still sat outside after the cambelt tensioner went :(
 
Sounds very nice:) Those bloody tensioners are crap aren't they:( common fault really as they are plastic and not really checked on services, same thing happened to a friends in his escort at sliverstone, bent all 16 valves.
So have you had a look at the damage on yours?
