Show Us Your Motors!

Popped up to Caffeine & Machine with my mate who just got a Formentor. Have to say the interior design and space on offer is really good, it's a weird size on the outside but does have more passenger space than you expect. I also managed to just about use full beans on the way home as it hit about 8.5c and some of the road was in sun! Once you hit 5.5k and the engine comes on cam this thing screams, very addictive.

I had a ride in a Cayman GT4 a couple of years ago, owned by the brother in law of a friend. Even from the passenger seat it was exhilarating. I remember after getting out I was still shaking with adrenaline. Stunning car

As for the Forementor, I've got a feeling someone further up my road owns one of these; or rather, I've seen a very similar sized car go past and wasn't sure what it was. I didn't recognise the badge until I found out the Cupra brand has been split from Seat.

Looks so good, nice to see one with silver wheels for a change. :)

not really, you can just add an MMI CarPlay or android auto box for a couple hundred quid and get way better functionality than CIC offers anyway.

Yes, and they are garbage. I tried one last year and it was utterly atrocious. Audio quality was terrible, couldn't see the screen in sunlight, crashes left, right and centre.

i don't mean a new screen, i meant a box. Which tbf only addresses the screen issues you had.

However, CIC is not worth upgrading to, either.

Yeah it's a very good breadth of ability, can feel quite alive and fun when 'on it' but also comfy for long journeys. It felt very novel arriving after a 2 hour drive without tinnitus, and having listened to a podcast en route. Luxury.

Yeah v happy with the spec, vaguely considering changing the wing uprights for silver just to continue the theme but in no rush.

A few pics of the R8 from the other day. I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but quite happy with the last shot of the engine bay. The 996 belongs to a friend, and is in absolutely spectacular condition.

2022 Audi R8 RWD in Suzuka Grey w/ the performance exhaust, tuned to 630hp, wheel spacers and black badges. I've since added a small rear lip spoiler, but may go the Vorsteiner wing route. To finish it off, I'm waiting on a set of wheels to be made, but those are a few months away yet.

Luggage space is absolutely atrocious though, even compared to the NSX. Really disappointed that Audi/Lamborghini didn't fix this with the RWD models, as there's a huge amount of wasted space up front.
