Superb service, Audi A6 40TDI was courtesy car and got the 600LT handed back along with chocolates and cakes. Fantastic service by McLaren Manchester, car also got treated to a tank of Esso 99. Shocking how quick this car is, door hinges are ordered and will be replaced under warranty when they arrive.
That is a thing of beauty!

McLaren has an Audi as a courtesy car ?
that's just lol :D

Diesel too

but wow

Yeah I don’t understand this.

Every time I’ve had a courtesy car from Aston(a lot) it’s been another Aston other than one time they tried to give me a 5 series and I said sorry no thanks, they then dropped off an Aston.

Ultimately you’ve paid supercar/luxury money, you shouldn’t have to “down grade”.

Also gibbo you have so many cars, one wonders why you needed a courtesy car.

No different to Ferrari who tend to give out Merc E class or 5 series. End of the day a new Ferrari or McLaren is a 200-300k car so I guess when it comes to courtesy cars they don’t have any, you can request a demo car if you register interest but it’s hit and miss but I do know Manchester have given 720S out.

A courtesy car was required to drive home in and I’ve really got no issue what they give me and the Audi came in handy for a family day out at weekend as Alfa I’m still repairing.

Classic Alfa :p

Classic Alfa :p

hehe

you got in before @dLockers ;)

The door issue has been a nightmare, door is now open, new latch is fitted but I needed some other parts due to level of destruction to get it open. Modern car latches are a total none DIY friendly idea, just waiting on a new interior pull cable now for internal handle.

But door is opening and closing on external handle so once get the last part I’m waiting for can put it all back together, fingers crossed I can remember how it goes back together.

I’ll drive it throughout Summer and then no doubt move it on or sooner if it starts been a typical Alfa.

Winter drive out to the english channel...across the sea is Dieppe France where my RS was made Dec 2021 :p car looks pretty clean considering how much dust got thrown on her last night sadly.....the ceramic coating Renault gave it works pretty well sometimes with just a light wet cloth wipe it looks okish! Gave the wheels a good clean this evening also brake fluids getting lower might be atmospheric pressure related just had to order some more fluids which is weird as I only had new front pads fitted a few weeks ago...

If I'm honest, I wanted a Portimao Blue example initially when I first started looking at M340i's. Wasn't sure at all about Dravit Grey but when I saw it in the flesh I changed my mind instantly
now that blue is a nice colour! don't get me wrong, each to their own.. but UK is just filled with silver/grey/nardo grey and different shades of grey cars and I find it a bit depressing..

Yes, it was difficult to find an approved used example in the right colour with the spec I wanted.

The Dravit Grey isn't your 'normal' grey colour, it's got flecks of red, green, blue and gold through it and changes depending on the light hitting it. Sometimes it looks almost black, then it can look similar to Nardo and also exhibits a sheen of gold metallic at points.
