Obligatory cool tread in the snow!

yea its at vards, there was only a few inches but the cold made it pretty solid snow, it had started to melt by the time that video was taken, making the traction good on some bits of the road and bad on others making for interesting driving! still, rwd is fun especially on a 'drift' car

To be honest at 700 quid I'm suprised he didnt just give you it for free :p

You don't know my old man Fox!

£500 for the Car, the rest was to cover his costs of transfering the plate, train ride to get his C Class from Somerset, he even charged me £62 for the remaining Tax bless him! :D

Arse, Tight & Duck are apt words, but I still love him! :D:D:D

Can't complain, he missed billing me for the half tank of fuel he left in.....

you took the plunge then? how is it?

Truly impressed by it, it rides beautifully, its tight, no trim rattles brakes sharp & strong, steering precise & tracks fine.... Its perfect from the drivers seat!

If I was being really picky, I'm undecided if theres a slight bit of wheel bearing whine from the O/S Rear but , as I say thats being picky in the extreme.

Its exceeded my wildest expectations of it, that said, its been maintained to an almost obsessive standard - and at great expense - so why would it not be right I suppose?

O/S Rear I think, I am really really unsure. A mate recons I'm hearing things and deemed it "near silent" but I'm sure theres a slight "thrumming" at circa 55MPH.....

Its slight in the extreme...and I am being picky.

Why do I fear your now going to say... "Ahh! Thats such & such, well known & costs £££" ? :(:o;):D

Nah, just that usually its the nearside rear that goes first because its proximity to the exhuast means it dries out.

To date its the only wheel bearing I've had go*.

*If the others go within the next week, you get the bill :p

Cheers, thats interesting.... And come to think of it, I have had sound apparently from one side on a car before for it to turn out to be the opposite side if you follow, so that could well be it.

And from the service invoices, it appears it had the nearside one replaced at 98k.....

Your a walking workshop manual Sir!

I'm touching wood for you. ;)
