"very easy on the launch"

Clutch related perhaps? :D

So much awesome

Clutch is a racing 6 plate AP thing, it has virtually no bite point.
Gearbox is called a Swedish Gear kit, and is supposed to be unbreakable (but i dont believe that LOL)

The weak parts are the diffs. I currently have standard diffs, need to really uprate those before i can do 5.5k rpm take offs. So until they are strenghtened then i can only take off at say 4.5k rpm.

A few pics of the engine bay.

Don't be a tart, I can comment on the interior if I like.

There should have been a paragraph after my '?'.

i know what you mean.

Yes its an escort cosworth.

BUt when your sat in at the lights in traffic, you're sat in an old escort at the end of the day. This won't bother some, but for others (like me) its too much of a sacrifice to make.

looks at cossie, looks at volvo, looks at cossie, looks at volvo.

Robbie is talking about the 350Z interior, not that Cosworth's. Do keep up.

Definately not, the version i have is covered in Black leather Lux pack.

Not only that all Escort Cosworths were built in Germany, the only thing that my Escort would share with say a normal escort is the name i think LOL

As much as i love the Escort Cosworth (and i really do btw), its still got the same shaped dash made of out the same cheap plastics etc, you can garnish it in leather all you wish but you can't change the fact its fundamentally the same place to sit (be it nicer than the 1.3 it's still miles behind 80 - 90% of modern cars).

Anyways i digress, for hoofing around it's a cracking car.

thing is i drive the volvo because it was something i ended up having to choose to get rid of the vectra. I don't particularly enjoy owning it, unlike the poster who obviously loves and cherishes his cosworth.

But given how much cars like this are worth :

I'd be looking for something more modern. Its not even about interior build quality and plastics quality, its just about age for me. This doesn't bother him, which makes the cosworth an ideal car for him. Anyway we werent talking about the cossie so best move on.
