I recently drove a 1.9 TDI A3 and wasn't that impressed with it. Is there much difference with the 2.0?

I can only speak for the 2004 year model - as that was what I checked out when I bought my 2.0 TDI Audi A3.

The 1.9 is 105 BHP with an 11.4 0-60 and 184 Torque
The 2.0 is 140 BHP with a 9.6 0-60 and 236 Torque

The 2.0 is also 16v compared to 8v in the 1.9.

Having driven the 2.0 TDI for just over 6 weeks now I find it a better drive (whilst not quite as nippy off the mark) than the 2000 plate 323i I had before.

Quite a difference then! Still, it's no good to Fox unless it's a large petrol engine.
