Show Us Your Motors!

Isn't this supposed to be the 'Show us Your Motors' thread not the 'Who is selling a car' thread :p

Well hurry and buy an EMFWEE!!

You're too young for a 5-series even if it is an F10 :D

The facelift looks stunning! So aggressive, much better than the pre-facelift.

Any changes to the interior?

Not sure about changes but it looks like this (from the XF build config thing).

Seats have suede in the middle and I must say, they are really very comfortable and a nice change from having all leather. :)

So from the pictures is a 2.2 SE, has the stop start, 8 Speed auto etc and the updated interior, things like the buttons are now black rather than chrome, the centre display between the dials is a colour TFT, updated software on the touchscreen system and the steering wheel is a bit different.

The new software is great to use. Took minutes for me to get used too. But I don't think the dials are a colour TFT, well certainly didn't look like it. :)

Well I thought I better post a picture of my latest car.

Edit: I've taken some better pictures.

It's not a Jag ...or even close but it's pleasent enough, the seats are very comfy and it's averaging 45mpg for me so far, more than twice what I was getting. It also works properly ...really, all of it does at the moment, that's a new one for me :p

Yea it is nice, that was also a feature of the S40/V50 interior that really struck me. This one has some kit too, more than you would expect from an S, cruise control, dual zone climate control, multifunction steering wheel, heated front seats ...and actually those roof bars and the nifty shopping back holder thing that folds up from the boot floor. Ok so I have lost all the electric memory seats, steering wheel and pedals ...but all of that bar the pedals is still fully adjustable, you just have to use levers rather than switches (it's not like I do it often anyway) ...I have lost my rear electric sunblind ...which I never really used anyway but I have gained heated seats ...which I will use.

It looks very plain and plasticky looking, but that could just be the picture.

It is rather plain, in that typical Swedish way, but the picture makes it look more plasticy than it is really, the quality of the materials, plastics, seats ...everything really is a grade or 3 above that used by Ford in the MK4 Mondeo anyway ...it's not on a par with Audi but ...well it fits right where you would expect given the relative prices I suppose. Everything looks nicest at night when it all lights up, the lightining in the Volvo is quite smart, subtle and effective. It actually does remind me a little of Ikea inside ...except that I didn't have to build it myself ...and there is no fake wood :p

If you buy a higher trim level you can have wood on the centre console and transmission tunnel and leather seats ...otherwise it looks the same inside ...the only difference outside would be body coloured bump strips etc ...and possibly larger alloys with a different design ...depending on which one you get and which boxes are ticked when it's ordered. The only reason I bought an S was because this particular one had the options fitted I really wanted anyway …that aren't standard on an S, i.e. multifunction steering wheel, cruise control and the winter pack ...for the heated seats.

I've never actually sat in a Volvo, there were no end of them when I was in Norway/Sweden the other week though. They're rather popular over there as you might imagine :p

I'm sure they are decent quality all round, too.

Well it'll do until I can change my situation and get lots more money anyway. It's better inside than the Mondeo ST220 I had ...although the engine obviously isn't nearly as nice.
