I would be inclined to do that if I had an idea of what i wanted next, but I don't have a clue.
This car has brought me to a sad realization that jumping well ahead of the game in terms of bhp has perhaps spoiled me a bit. 250 bhp shouldn't be slow to a 20 year old even in a barge!
I thought I wouldnt miss the power, I thought leather ans toys could make up for it but it doesn't.
So I am stuck with my small budget, my refusal to go fwd, a 320+bhp hole to fill and ive still got to somehow get insured once I find something. I can't go back to a normal car if a fully loaded barge has bored me in just a week and I can't really go much better than the old soarer in terms of power for the money. My only option is going the other way a d getting something track focused, but that's going to suck around town.
and the worst thing is that i know how to solve my issues. I need two cars, a barge like this and a Turbo Nutter track car, but I sturggle to run one car let alone two .
Live within your means and start enjoying yourself. Trying to finance mutliple cars which just doesn't seem possible is a stupid idea.
Next!
Why you have already said numerous times you don't need a daily? Get yourself something track focused and run it as a daily. You don't need a barge your just being greedy. You have to make a choice, I would go for power personally.
Yes it will suck around town, but your 20 not 40 so who cares? I could honestly live with my clio stripped out, the only reason I don't as I have no need to when I move closer to a track I will consider it more.
Judging by previous discussions, I don't think we'll be able to get these points across. Just like people scoffed at the thought of this Soarer. Sometimes people only learn by finding stuff out themselves.
I am not quite sure how you can say that. People scoffed at this soarer for financial reasons. Buying a track car and using it properly is going to cost more so i am not seeing the point? Fundamentally there wasn't much wrong with me buying this car, my low income aside. On the face of it I thought it'd be a car that I would enjoy, on paper I should love it but for the reason I have described above I don't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I am still happy with it for the meantime and running it for a few months isn't going to be a chore, but it isn't the car that I want to keep for years and years and years like i tthought it would. Not without a supercharger bolted onto it at least.
Now time to take a step back, have a rethink . No harm done so far.

Joshy, I thought your old one was a bit knackered? Did it really *feel* like it had 250-270bhp?
Your scenario is slightly different though, you bought a completely different car.
Which would be why he said he knows how it feels, not 'I am in exactly the same situation'.
No ****, sherlock!
You're on the ball there!
Captain obvious to the rescue.
