Show Us Your Motors!

My Sierra

Here are a few pictures of my motor, bought new, covered just under 20,000 miles. It's been garaged since 1994, but took it out a couple of years ago to take some pictures, then it's been put back in the garage and only done about 30 miles in the last couple of years.

Such a crying shame IMO.

Hope you don't think this is too confrontational but i dislike the people who buy cars, then stick 'em the garage never to be used.

Cars are motorised transport. They should be driven.

Not collected and stored away carefully in a garage never to be used like somebodys stamp collection.

Still, i know you and others have every right to do so.

No not at all, the reason it was put away was back in 1994 was the insurance premium was something like £2000 a year, because they were one of the most likely cars to be stolen in those days. Then when the premiums came down I had another couple of cars to use so it just got left parked up.
When I decided to take it out a few years ago It wouldn't run right due to rust building up inside the tank which blocked a couple of injectors. So it got left for a couple more years !
Eventually I got a new petrol tank, and injectors off Ford, cleaned out all the fuel lines and got it running again. Replaced cambelt due to the age of it, and it runs sweet as it ever did now.

What's this like to live with? Always wanted a Cerbera but have been put off by the horror stories.
Do you drive it in the winter/wet?

Mine is just a weekend toy, I've got a Honda CRV and the wife has a C1 for daily stuff.

Saying that, I do know people who drive them daily, but at 6k services it can get expensive.

Don't really drive mine in the wet, try to avoid it if I can help it.
