Moving from a 120bhp to a c.180bhp car is quite a big jump.
So is spending that amount of money on a car. If the car is worth it then great but a 320d is not worth £30k. Is it BMW Select with a large balloon or something to offset the cost?

To you maybe. It's worth every penny to me. We just draw the line at different places.
It wipes the floor with a Mini, that's for sure.

No Sat-nav. THAT, I didn't think was worth it . I decided to hold back on that and look into some aftermarket speakers.

No Nav?
Surely that will absolutely destroy the resale value?
They're round and they have legal rubber on them. That's enough to keep me happyI don't like either of those wheels! Satisfaction has not been met today!

It looks good though!A diesel and with those wheels/tyres and no doubt hard suspension.. I bet the ride quality is absolutely appalling :/

I thought you were mad before. Now I think you are bonkers. Nearly 30 grand on a 2 litre diesel without the iDrive system
Scuzi is definately the winner on this page. Fundamentally the same car yet his is less than half the price and has the correct number of cylinders
Yeah, the iDrive isn't really about the resale value, it's about what it gives you. Especially if it's a leased car!

Hmm. My father didn't opt for satnav on his Golf, but you get so much with the touch-screen RCD 510 that you're literally only missing satnav. That, and you can retro-fit RNS 510 very easily. It's not leased.
I put a high value on owning it from new. That's what I've paid the extra for.
