Show Us Your Motors!

That Corvette is absolute quality. What's she like to drive? Personally I'd have that model in a hard top and in red, but it still is my favourite looking motor. Nice one :D

Hey mate thanks for the kind words. I too like the hard Hard top and I would have prefered the Manual box. But now that i have driven her for a while I wouldnt swap her,What is she like to drive well so comfy and stress free to plod around in (Built for fat yanks). Cruise control is a joy and the heads up display mean you never need to look down but only straight ahead. So many people in work who drive EU exotics RS6's, M3's gave me a lot of stick for my choice but once they seen her in the flesh they took it back. The LeMans blue paint has a high gloss finish to it, while it attracts fingers looks mega nice in the sunshine. See the picture of it when it had just been cleaned.

When you decide to push it you always get a suprise, everyone will say Automatic box is slow blah blah but the reality of the difference is nothing and truth be told it never screws up a gear. The power is delivered with my current favourite sound. When you truly boot it she makes a different sound to all other times. The V8 opens right up and those four tail pipes just roar. There is a delay from foot to floor to the roar but it is only a fraction of a delay. The traction control is a god send, When she makes that noise no matter what gear you are in she is going to wheel spin. At first i was terrified when the back wobbled but now I am confident that the 18" 265 Wide Goodyear Eagle F1's wont let me down. After a breif amount of spin, traction control slaps her ass and the F1 runflats grip and she kicks like a Mule. The force feels like that of Evo in 1st Gear, the difference is she dosnt stop for breath, she just pulls and pulls and pulls, kicking through the gears with a rear hard punch. 0-60 is fast but 60 - 120 is faster. The revs dont climb but jump up as soon as she hits 3k boom your at 6k. Ive had her around 145 but it was me who bottled it.

My favourite moment so far was on the mountain roads looking at a convoy of cars in front.. looking to do the bog standard move out take a car move back in that I would have done in my golf. So I see my straight coming. So pull out and give it some welly. The first car was gone quicker than i could think to pull in, all in all blasted past five motors before pulling back in with a big cheeser.

I have never driven anything as fast. I looked at Evos and the like out here but for simple bang for buck+Lux - I dont think it can be topped.

Finally i am just back in from whoring her around town, plenty of people wanting to race and like i predicted the Arabs cant use their manual box. I beat so many cars that i shouldnt have just because they cocked it up. I did however bite off more than i could chew with the following:

V12 AMG G Wagon - Jesus this thing is fast the roar is gob smacking.
Brabus - Dunno what model it was all black with black alloys.. faster than superman
Toyota Supra - I was suprised at this at first, but when we pulled up at the lights and he wound his window it was appartent that this was no standard supra.. it had more turbo gages than the star ship enterprise. Anyway he went on to race an AMG thingy and i got a bit of it on Video.

Thinking of starting some blog or something showing pictures of the cars I see in Dubai and some racing videos. Maybe if the kind people at overclockers give me a dedicated thread i could make some cool cool pictures and videos for them.

My first car is just here now, about to get the insurance on it which is going to cost more than the car! So here's the Rover 200 1.4i, on a beautiful day here in Staffordshire :)

Had £3k to spend on car+insurance and it came to about £2.4k in total so I've got a bit left to play. Car has done 42000 miles and its in great nick.

Yes, we live out in the middle of nowhere and yes, my camera is a bit shoddy. I feel a bit guilty too as the last two posts (with pictures) in this thread have been taken up by me! :p
