I love the tiny little strip of red on the rev counter of the M3, badass. Shame about the cd player and steering wheel, would be perfect then. Plus some petrol...

and this is the facelift grill:

I do miss both of those cars, despite them both having issues. :(

An MGF has issues, that 318 had a form of plague :D

Can't have been too bad...it's still going.

The 328 had a terminal illness, poor thing. The 318 slowly went more and more downhill, I did a fair amount of work on it but gave up when I was employed full time...Still can't believe I got more for it than I paid (pretty much including cost of parts) after many many naughty miles and with it driving badly. :D

You are wrong in the head then, that's the ugliest wheel going, bar the one beermonster has I suppose. M-tech II is lovely.

Nope, I'm right in the head, especially when it has buttons on it to control stereo etc. like this one (tilt head at awkward angle) :p.

It is a bit fat though surely, fat as in bulky but minus any sort of nice thickness in the grip itself!

Which? I find the one Clarkey posted to be lumpy looking and just, yuk. The bigger one I posted is used in the E39 etc. too and is much nicer looking (imo) and is great to use. Much preferred it over the one I had in the 328.

Family member has a 530i with that wheel though his has the multifunction buttons. It just feels too heavy from all that bulk yet the grip is thin so feels weird shifting it around when driving!

I guess I'm too used to the more modern Mtech wheel with thick padding and thumb grips.

It has thumb grips?

I had no issues what so ever using that wheel for fast road driving, be that small roads or motorway cruising. I abused the car to be honest and the wheel was perfect for the abuse, felt much, much better to hold than the one I had in the 328. Controlled many a slide in the cold, wet, icey and snowy conditions one winter with it...really liked it. Weighty and great, rather than feeling light and thin (the smaller boss/bag wheels felt light and thin).

No Model Inscription removed 'M3' from the boot not the sides and that isn't an M-Technic wheel. Looks to be missing headlight washers and facelift front grille as well? Any signs of accident damage or anything? Can't understand why somebody would remove some of that stuff.

It's a pre facelift car 96 with the 96 only grill , possibly had a bump as there bumper looks fresher paint, don't mind the steering wheel its pretty comfy if a little on the large side .

All that work and you put nankangs on the thing...

everyone complains about the nankangs, they are perfect for road use, admiadly they fall down in an open pit lane situation where they take a constant hammering all day long but for a sessioned track day they are perfectly fine.

will be getting some yoko AD08's for my spare set of rims before i start racing again next year tho

That looks like an Apexi filter rather a Blitz one?

good spot tho!

Steve

edit :- also ignore the temporary peice of blue samco its been changed now also the electrical tape on the oil cooler connection has gone :) temporary track day repairs = win [should have just taken some new pics really lol!]
