I wear my Patek as my daily and drive the F40 whenever I feel the need.

It's like having a hot girlfriend for the weekends and then taking a munter out during the week.. why would you?

Comfort.

Practicality.

Reliability.

Probability of damage (not from you necessarily)

In the event of a write off, locating a suitable replacement, its not like they still make these.

I stayed away from running cost, or repair cost as clearly that isn't your concern.

Those are perfectly reasonable reasons why people buy a daily.

Or so I thought.

Even then the Porsche is the one most likely to start on a cold morning and it's not as if the Jaguar has some sort of cold weather ability the Porsche doesn't.

I get why Eyedot don't care, may be he has enough money for a dozen of these. I merely asked the same question Howard did, no one seem to quote him.

But I am most baffled with you wanting to keep everything pristine (which is fine), even buying another watch to protect a £300 watch (which is fine too) yet would risk dings in a supermarket driving in a £500,000 F40 when picking up a tin of beans, sorry, caviar.

One does not makes sense with the other...of all people I would think you would get another car to protect the F40?

I am more confused about that part than Eyedot doesn't have another car.
