I like the wheels :)

£750 each!

...Funny story as I was signing for the documents - The salesman owns a similar Brabus version to mine, and because a customer came in looking for one and they didnt have any at the time - The Salesman decided the customer could test drve HIS. First bend the guy went round violently, backend came out and mounted the curb with the two front wheels.

£1500+ to get new ones, because they were mangled! Lucky the dealership paid for the saleman's repairs :p

£16,000 for 2 seater car that does 0 - 60 in 10 seconds

MADNESS!

Its more like 9, but I wont argue :p and no I certainly didnt pay £16,000...

Its what the car looks like, and no-one can say my car isnt nice to look at ;)

Ta. :)

Having owned a MK1 Leon R for 4 years prior to the Cupra, as an all round package the new Cupra is miles ahead of the MK1. I'll still always have a soft spot for the R though. ;)

Mk1 is much nicer to be driven in. A mate has an Mk2 FR TDI and it's the only car in the last 20 years that makes me car sick (consistently!). Last time that happened I was about 10 and my dad had a Cortina estate ...

And how do you put up with those windscreen pillars? It's like tying to look around Forth bridge girders...

LOL. The looks of the Mk2 certainly is a bit like marmite for many people.

Personally I love it (hence I bought one!) - if we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place. :p

IMHO I think the Mk1 is looking a bit dated now compared to the new shape.

Yes the visibility of the pillars can be a bit of a pain at times, but you get used to it, it's a small price to pay for the bang per buck you get as a package.

The Fr's suspension has been noted to be quite harsh compared to the Cupra's which uses the same aluminium components as the S3. The Cupra also features slightly softer springs and a slimmer front roll bar which reduces its unsprung weight by 7kg over the FR. It is also 7mm lower.

Quite a few fellow owners over at Seatcupra.net are seeing 260hp std against the listed 240 and it's consistently remapping to over 300hp rather nicely. :) Even bigger grin time. :D
