good stuff :)

Popped into flat white in London for a very nice breakfast and a stunning americano (misses had a flat white which was also tasty despite my dislike of milky coffee) and almost got those two - settled on their house blend instead which is also roasted by Square Mile...

Time to order some work coffee I think however - El Salvador Alaska Bourbon and El Salvador Finca La Fany Bourbon (snigger)

Currently warming the espresso machine up again after having in about 37 different pieces giving it the most complete clean I can manage. Hopefully it won't leak. ;)

Also adjusted a couple of pieces to make it a bit more suitable for me. Including a digital temperature readout mounted in the boiler. Will one day get that linked to the the element so I can keep the temperature closer to stable. :D

Will be running Hasbean's Jailbreak espresso blend through it later on *it's one of th best espresso's I've had in many months. Absolutely stonking!*

While doing that I've been going through a new thing that Steve's picked up - Cascara. It's a tea thats made from the cherry that normally gets thrown away once the coffee beans are extracted. Very tasty, but extremely high in caffeine. :D

its pretty cool stuff that - square mile had some in about a year ago and i tried a pack. Really intense tobacco flavour, nothing like coffee or tea really! Didn't realise it had such a high caffeine content though!

had my first try of the hasbean El Salvador Finca La Fany Bourbon and i'm impressed - very smooth and light flavoured - incredibly drinkable :)

I tried it too, had an espresso in a local cafe and the guy gave me a shot of Cascara to try. It did taste a bit like tea, but heavier, imo - somewhere between a spicy chai and a strong black tea. I think it'd be great with milk.

El Salvador Alaska makes an amazing filter coffee. Had some at The Window over the weekend. The Finca La Fany is another great one and the La Illusion is a surprisingly tasty espresso *but better as filter. ;)*

Argh, I forgot to bring my grinder back to uni with me.

I'm guessing it's still worth buying the grounds from Hasbean rather than supermarket stuff, as they freshly roast it?

yup, totally worth getting from hasbean - the stuff in the supermarket was probably ground atleast a week, if not more like a month ago - hasbean will grind right before shipping :)

really a drip coffee machine like that isn't worth it - just get a cheapish cafetiere (which might well get broken, but its cheaper to replace than a drip machine's jug, and you can keep it in your room...) and if your feeling a bit more flush a dualit grinder (~£70 though)

Well there was a fire in the coffee roasters close to work so no fresh roasted coffee for a while :(

Anyone know where to get chai latte syrup from? I asked the girl at the roasters but she never gets me any :(

Just get the Starbucks-branded one, same grinder, lower price.

Can anyone recommend me a really good grinder please (up to £150). I have a Zassenhaus which I will be taking to work so need a good one for the home.
See above! :p (Though since it seems you're prepared to spend a bit more than the £60 that'll cost you, worth scrolling up to check the other suggestions people made to me when I was asking the same question a few dozen posts back)

Well I've decided to treat myself, so the ones I'm currently trying to decide between are the Mazzer Mini E Doserless (type B) and the Macap MC4 C18 Black Stepless Grinder.
