Silverstone 2012

They have moved the fence inwards between Stowe and Vale (this was there last year), and also moved the barriers in around the outside of Luffield and back towards the Wellington straight, over where the old layout used to be for the Bridge section.

Its still a far cry from the 80% GA you had only a few years back, mind.

aw ok nothing major, I thought they would make a mound/hill around the luffield towards the wellington straight so people can see more action but i gess not.

I remember they had plans to have a raised spectator area, not sure if its there already not done yet.

I'll be going this year, my Dad got a text from Vodafone yesterday that he'd won two tickets for the weekend, and he asked if I wanted to go. I'll be there on the Friday and the Sunday, I can't make it on the Saturday as I've already bought tickets to the Fairford Air Show.

Edit: forgot to say, it's in the Abbey grandstand.

Quali- seat suggestions

This will be my 5th consecutive year at Silverstone- absoloutely love it. Have got Platinum seats at Becketts for the Sunday and General Admission for the Saturday- any recommended spots for qualifying?

Debs

Been for the past two years. The tracks not one of my Favorites but the atmosphere is electric, and the sexies int he F1 tops make it so much worth while. Shawingggg.

1. Button
2.Vettel
3.Hamilton.

Just a guess.

I shall do my usual and have a look at ebay for tickets. Have done for the past 3 years at Silverstone and last year lucked in a bit as I managed to grab some centre access tickets where we watched the race from inside the circuit at the Wellington Bridge (DRS zone)...

Hopefully can get them again as we didn't have to rush unlike the years before where we'd have to get up at 5am to get a decent seat at Becketts.

Was it you who bought something second hand hospitality tickets but weren't allowed into the actual hospitality?

In 2009 there were 120,000 on the Sunday and 310,000 in total during the race weekend.
