Silverstone F1 tickets?

ive just booked with camping F1, Looks good!
Going to Silverstone with someone this year, not really into F1 so apologies for my n00bish questions....
Am driving there so what kind of time would I need to set off and aim to be there? Am leaving picking someone up from Birmingham. Also what time does it finish? Wanted to get home to watch the World cup final!

The race starts at 1pm and will finish between 2.30pm-3pm. They are showing the WC on the large screens there (or in the golf place next to it that does the camping), so am staying that night to watch it rather than driving back.
Driving wise if you are going on the day, you'll need to get in there as early as possible as it will be grid locked all morning and you won't get a good spectator spot if you don't have a grandstand seat.

Realistically neither of us can stay that late due to work the next day so need to drop them off and get back home.
Birmingham to Silverstone seems to be a 1hr 12min trek, do you reckon leaving by about 9:30am would get me there on time?
The tickets I have are in the club Silverstone section so I've got a seat.

Gonna be an early morning for me then! I am leaving from London and then have to pick them up from the Midlands and drive back to Silverstone! 1.5hrs to get there easily so maybe leave home by 6:30am, get there for 8am and leave soon after. That should get me there on time.
I hope you don't respond back saying I need to get up even earlier

Does anyone know how many sets of earphones the kangaroo tv device supports? Im thinking of getting one to hear the commentary, but Im going with my GF and was wondering if we can both plug into the same device?

Birmingham to Silverstone is about the same time/distance as Nottingham to Silverstone (where I am from). I have grandstand seats and have been 4 or 5 times. If you are parking at the circuit you want to be getting to Silverstone for 8am with the knowledge you won't be in the circuit until 9am. Trust me, set off very early! Traffic is rammed from about 7.30am onwards.

And the Kangaroo TVs have a single Headphone out, so you will need a splitter to run multiple sets (its a standard 3.5mm jack)
