Sim racers - what are you running?

Bit of an update on my rig.

Wanted more angle on the wheel so swapped out the Simlabs wheel holder for a NLR holder. Had to make quite a few changes for the Evo chassis to make it fit.

Also added a few extra bits of profile to mount the shifter and handbrake. The handbrake base plate is TrackRacer.

Really enjoying AMS2 now. Bought the track pack with Spa and Monza. Starting races at dusk looks lovely.

I’ve been enjoying Bathurst especially that bendy downhill.

Nothing online. I think i'll have to goto iRacing for that. Even now I feel the need for progression. With AMS2 it hasn't got that in the way that iRacing does.

Played a little Bathurst today in the 911 GT3. It's going to take a lot to master the bends. Then some races round Spa again, getting quite good at it. I just need to learn that ever lap isn't qualifying!

Before I finished I did some time trials round Brands Hatch in the Caterhams. It's a track and car combo i've driven lots in real life and it's awesome. You can really throw the cars around just like real life. I got the track record but there's still loads of time on the table.

What's the next best upgrade from v3 pedals
Sprints ? Or wait till can afford ultimates or similar hydraulic level pedals

Just got rid of my triples for a single g9
Definitely not as immersive but needs must unfortunately.

For me, there was a noitceable change in feel from V3s to Sprints. Haven't tried any others. I don't think my driving ability warrants going hydraulic tbh

When did all the Moza stuff turn up to pre order on OCUK? have to be honest i haven't looked in there for some time as didnt figure they would have higher end stuff i was actually in controllers looking for a Xbox Dongle to hook my controller up to the PC.

I am beginning to look at other options as Fanatec are NEVER getting stock back by the look of things. Moza and logitech are currently looking promising.

Is anyone gonna try out the new Logitech Pro wheel? I had a look today and the total price including the wheel and pedals is like 1300! For the same price or similar i could probably get a Fanatec setup i think?

Problem being Fanatec stuff is never in stock. The Thrustmaster DD is also due out any time.

Price wise Fanatec is a little cheaper depending on the options you pick, and they have an existing eco system, choices are always good.

My other worry is the whole "trueforce" thing, support is limited and hasn't really grown even though the G923 has been out a while now, the Pro stuff isnt going to push that much more as its not mass market.

Looking as Moza etc, there are options in the field that's for sure.

The only reason to go with the Logitech is if you play on console and either don't want or can't wait for Fanatec to sort their supplies out.

Decided tonight that screw it I'll pay for the PlayStation compatibility I will never use at €100+vat got a DD Pro hub rather than the CSL DD that is never in stock, CSL Elite V2 Pedals and a Mclaren GT3 V2 wheel. I'm considering the extra €100 euro foreplay before Nivida break me in on the 12th.

From the reviews i've seen so far the truforce stuff isn't all that great, i think i've got it on my G29 wheel and if i remember correctly i turned it off. Think it was more of a gimmick than anything else.
Oh wow i always thought Fanatec would have been more expensive tbf even entry level stuff. I guess i should be looking at Fanatec stuff then rather than Logitech, it's good and runs straight out of the box (My G29) but the plasticy feel of everything makes it feel really cheap. The Pro stuff is the same plastic casing from what i've seen and read.

Thanks, will keep an eye on this one. Hopefully cheaper than logitech! I feel the Logitech solution needs to be cheaper for people to jump on it. Like House mentioned, if Fanatec is cheaper despite the supply issues people will rather get that over the logitech gear.
