Sim racers - what are you running?

I'm thinking of selling my Fanatec CSL DD 8 Nm and McLaren GT3 v2 for a Moza R9 and FSR Formula wheel.
Mainly because the basic Fanatec QR is driving me nuts and the Moza wheels look lush :)

Has anyone else gone from Fanatec to Moza?

Also, what are people recommendations for best pedals under £500 - I would rather have a 2 pedal setup which can be adjusted/separated further apart.
In terms of force feedback, there is not much of a difference between the csl and r9.

Both are fantastic. The QR is better on the r9 though and it's QR can connect to other third party wheel rims. You just slap on the QR plate that is also used in some actual race cars.

My son uses the SF1000 and loves it.
i’ve tried it and it‘s awesome - actual real carbon fibre, analogue dual clutch, all the dials work including the rotary thumb dials and I love the info screen. It also comes in a great box too :)

Here is the wheel in the actual Ferrari SF1000 F1 car

And its a bargain of a price for it as well

Check out Moza CRP pedals. When looking at any reviews, make sure they're recent, as they got revised and improved vs the originals.
Also check out the Simforge Mrk1.
For less money, Fanatec CSL Elite V2. Probably the best bang for buck with a good brake pedal.

You can remove the clutch and position pedals to your liking with either.

Just ordered 3 x 32GP850 to replace my 49" G9. Looking forward to getting them setup! I went for the triple monitor stand and vario vesa mount when I bought my Sim Lab P1X so hopefully not too much hassle getting them up and running.

Looks like there will be a delay getting the R9 wheel base in stock across the UK suppliers. Hopefully it’ll be a few weeks and not months.

The want for this is strong.

The grips and build quality look great and all that, however, I never liked the layout on GSI wheels with the position of the funky stick and would also ideally want thumb encoders.
Also, while screens on a wheel absolutely do look cool as hell, how many of you are in a seating position where it's in your eyeline and doesn't require you to significantly shift your eyes from your monitor? If I wasn't an exclusively VR racer, I'd much rather have a separate dash mounted to the wheelbase.

Anyway, that's just me :)

I love the design, the customisation you can configure to the button colours & text and the fact it looks like a real racing steering wheel (more so than any other wheel).

I dislike the size (width) & weight, no thumb rotary wheels, tethered connection and the price.

This is why I ended up going with a Simcore DDU. It covers up the in-game dash whilst playing the game, otherwise you'd have the screen on your wheel and dash screen which I didn't see the point of for my usage (ACC).

I still have an ancient Logitech MOMO Racing wheel :p. I only play Power & Glory occasionally(GTR2 mod)..

Are there any new sims with good physics worth trying btw?
Short answer: Of course there are. Things have moved on a little :)

Long answer: Depends what you're into.
If you're only really into 60/70s stuff, then Assetto Corsa with some stock/DLC content and/or GP/GT Legends mod packs and a selection of retro track mods might be up your street for example.

'Good physics' are a subjective thing and perhaps you may be so tuned into what you're used to playing that moving onto something different won't hit the spot for you.
