Sim racers - what are you running?

Assetto Corsa Legends GT Classics looks fantastic, thanks for the tip!

Yes good physics is subjective, for example I did not like suspension physics in old GTR2 and GT Legends, but Power & Glory feels great..

Cool. Also check out rFactor 2. Should be a whole bunch of similar content for that and you may like it's suspension/physics more perhaps.

If you're gonna go with Assetto, get the Ultimate edition cheap on a key site and also install the following to get the best out of it:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/sol.24914/ <- Also has a link to the latest shaders patch.

I love the design, the customisation you can configure to the button colours & text and the fact it looks like a real racing steering wheel (more so than any other wheel).

I dislike the size (width) & weight, no thumb rotary wheels, tethered connection and the price.
I have given it some more thought and I think this is a play to get rid of stock before new wheels are announced.....on the 1st Dec.

I'm going to wait as I think there will be a v2 or a new wheel replacing the FPE.

Thrustmaster DD 10nm system announced and the rims are backwards compatible.

The base model of the Thrustmaster T818 will include the wheel base, the metallic blue plates, 1 quick release adaptor and the proper UK, US or European plugs based on the region in the box.
£599

The want for this is strong.

I resisted as I wanted to see what the P1 looked like. It's just been announced and i'll be ordering on 1st Dec.

For those that want to know what John's referring to :)

Well, I guess it addresses my earlier criticisms about thumbwheels and accessible funky switches. God knows what I'd do with three of them and 9 rotaries though :D

I'd like to see how 'cheap' they could do a 'VR edition' rim with no screen, no lights and ditch 3 rotaries and the centre funky switch. Then again, perhaps I'll make one myself, as it's about time for a refresh.
