Sim racers - what are you running?

Yeah, I'm sure they're amazing :) Despite the insane price, I'm sure they'll be sold out regardless.
IMO Simucube should also come out with a standard spring based throttle pedal to go with the brake/clutch. There's no need at all for feedback on a gas pedal and you just don't need that level of adjustability.

Being able to dial in your perfect clutch/brake feel and feedback, sure.

They're certainly priced like nothing else on the market!

At £1k per pedal they would have been on my radar for one as the brake pedal, but they're just far too much at the current price point to even consider.

Scored a Logitech G920 and shifter for very good price (essentially about half retail), and currently relearning how to drive in BeamNG.drive having moved from my (ancient, now dearly-departed) MS Sidewinder wheel setup that I bought for Grand Prix Legends waaaaaaay back in 1999. Nice having 900° of rotation to use now!

I quite fancy building a small sim rig to hold both Wheel and Flight Sim setup.

Anyone care to recommend a (uk) place to buy the aluminum and will also need a seat too?

A couple of U.K. places to check out:

If you’re on Facebook, there is a chap called Si Turnbull who sells rigs, everything you need and is quite the cheaper option. As for a seat, you can buy something nice or use just about anything from a scrap yard if you so desired.

Hope that helps

Many thanks for this will check them out.

Pretty sure Demon Tweaks just dropship SimLab stuff but ordering was easy when I got my GT1-Evo through them :)

As for a seat, some people like having a proper bucket seat but I'd rather have a proper comfy seat as it's not like we need to actually be held in during cornering. I ended up getting an MX5 seat with rails from Facebook which is great for when some friends have wanted a try as it's easy to adjust the seat.

Ah my bad, I didn't click the link to see what stuff Demon Tweaks sells these days. Though I'd imagine they probably drop ship Track Racer stuff now then as it's still going to be pretty big to store. Not that it matters much, there's not really anything that can go wrong with a few pieces of metal.

Mrs got me some parts from simlab for my rig, adjustable pedal and seatbase, plus a different mounting plate for the shifter. Spent all day yesterday stripping it down and installing it all, now the monitors are sitting too low and my eyes are aligned with the top thirds of the monitors. Can't lower the seat down into the profile like the pedal base so I've got to adjust them now! Spend more time tinkering than driving! :o

Really enjoying Automobilista 2 at the minute

I've just started racing Assetto Corsa Competizione and I have to say I'm hooked! You can tell it's much more of a sim racer than GT7.

I'm using a G29 and just ordered the magnetic clip that goes on the back of the wheel to help with shifter return.

I'd love to have a full setup but just don't have the space as the kids need a bedroom each. I have considered putting them in the same room but I'm not sure the wife agrees :D

Time to sell your kidneys/children

I'm not sure even these pedals justify the price...

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you have the Moza Racing R5 bundle? I've never had a wheel before and I can see it is listed on Pre-Order on the site and I'm really thinking about getting one for my birthday next month :)
Would it be a good choice for a "wheel newbie" like me?

Yeah, it's a good 'starter' DD package for the money. The pedals are pretty basic and lacking resistance or a loadcell, though they'll do the job to get you started and won't pose any issues if racing at a desk.
