Sim racers - what are you running?

In the same boat (currently have a TM t300Rs and some (none load cell fanatec) pedals.

Not sure on a R5 (with not so good wheel and pedals?) - the wheel 'looks' a little toy like?
or R9 and wheel (no pedals for now) - and keep the fanatec pedals...

Wish they did the R5 on its own... would probably do me power wise.

After a 6 month break and selling all my gear, I've returned using a moza R9 with the GS wheel and some Asetek Simsports Forte pedal's.
The Moza base is ok but I'm finding it a little buggy here and there. Wheel disconnects and missed shifting which I'm currently investigating with Moza.

Thanks Burtie - when you say is 'ok' - did you prefer the base you sold?
What was it?

I want to order the R5 but feel ... Ill already want to buy load cell pedals.. and different wheel (when/if they come out)

Wondering if I can order the R9 on its own ... and just use one of my TM wheels just for steering (have a stream deck I could use for buttons anyways) - just not keen on the huge wheel expense for the R9 ... and the pedals with the R5...
These companies always know how to get you to buy something 'more' :D

Started to get back in to playing ACC after a 4 month break…not that I really got in to it anyway with 10 hours play time total sim racing  Managed to get my Streamdeck XL setup as a button box and my Simcore DDU up and running.

I've removed most of the in-game UI too when racing as my DDU shows most of it.

Setup my triple LG32GP850 as well but I need to lower them a bit as when I'm sat I feel like I'm an inch or two below the middle of the screens. I definitely prefer them over a single 49" UW but my FPS has taken a hit. I've dropped some of the settings down a little and it hovers around 100FPS now.

There are DIY options and this https://www.simracingcoach.com/en/contenido/conversion-aros-thrustmaster-osw/ + this https://www.simracingmachines.com/WebShop/accuforce-b-g-nrg-mounting-plate
You'll also need a D1 spec wheelside QR (simagic/NRG/Moza/various ebay and AliEx).

Yeah I had a Simucube sport last time so there's a slight difference. Don't get me wrong it a great wheel base. I just didn't want to shell out for another Simucube at the moment, which would if been £1700 with wheel.

Currently hit 2000 hours in ACC and I still find it challenging sometimes.

1.4s is quite a lot! I nearly dipped in to the mid/high 1:50 but I ballsed up the lap. I struggle for consistency at the moment, one lap can be my PB the next I'm 3s down or binned it.
Yeah I'm definitely not consistent, trail braking if you're not already will get the time down. Setups too will help. Dave Academy has some great setups but they do cost.

ACC - I racked up about 200 hours on it over the Xmas period, before I knocked my monitor off my desk onto the edge of my CSL DD unit, on Xmas Eve, which stopped me playing :(

I have a replacement monitor now so back on ACC - I race in the Low Fuel Motorsport (LFM) league : https://lowfuelmotorsport.com/, so just in time for the season 9 start :)

Monitor - oops

lol Public lobby madness is what keeps destroying my rating

Learning ACC I focussed on one track - Spa, and when I started it was chaos into Eau Rouge - literally half the field getting wiped out each race  Now I can usually qualify on pole or 2nd place with a high 2:17 / low 2:18 which means you can miss the madness.

It still is chaos into Eau Rouge. Everyone wants to be a hero, win the race on the 1st lap and have no idea of what awareness of other cars means. More often than not I don't bother with qually when doing public lobbies and start near the back and see what happens.

I'm usually doing league enduros with team mates anyway and the odd bit of LFM. Public lobbies are for when we want a laugh and have nothing better to do :D
