Sim racers - what are you running?

It still is chaos into Eau Rouge. Everyone wants to be a hero, win the race on the 1st lap and have no idea of what awareness of other cars means. More often than not I don't bother with qually when doing public lobbies and start near the back and see what happens.

I'm usually doing league enduros with team mates anyway and the odd bit of LFM. Public lobbies are for when we want a laugh and have nothing better to do :D
I know what you mean.
I've missed qualy & started at the back a couple of times and been leading after the 1st lap. Occasionally I even start from the pit lane to miss the Muppets. It's usually pretty obvious who is going to stack it on the 1st lap and I just let them go.
At least in LFM the chat is banned during sessions

Bit the bullet and went for the

R9
CS wheel - wanted the GS but out of stock (no preorder) and didnt fancy the FSR as dont think I would get chance to look at the screen (will pick up the extra dash or something later if needed)
SRP Pedals from Burtie

This should do me for a while I think.... now to offload the T150 Pro, T300 RS GT and Fanatec pedals I seem to have collected :D

Arghh 1 - 2 months wait for R9 - preordered with OCUK - thats gonna feel like a long time :D
Am sure will be worth the wait and upgrade from T300Rs - will be first DD wheel.

Looking forward to smooth and quiet at least for night time racing.
One Question - I ordered the CS wheel too - are the shifters noisy and clicky? I think it comes with some sticky pads to quieten them - do they work?

I ordered an R9 and FSR Formula wheel in November and was hoping to get before Christmas but that didn't happen.
I've cancelled it now - partly due to the wait and also because my Fanatec CSL DD and GT3 wheel is actually working really well. I'm in the Moza FB Group and many people are complaining about the wheel dropping connection mid-game and I really don't need that hassle.

Wow I never heard about the wheel dropping connection!

I'm in there moza discord.

Anyways there is also simagic system to look at. They are pretty good too

Yeah the dropouts seem to be related to Bluetooth devices around the wheel? Not too sure how big an issue is or what the fix is.

More buying of stuff. This week i've ordered a Bezel free kit. I've a friend in the states who's bringing it over for me this month. £99. I've also bought a pair of transducers that i'll use simhub to control. I've gone for a pair, front and rear. I was considering maybe 4 corners or even 5 (4 plus seat) but I thought it best to try 2 1st and then add more if I felt a need.

As mentioned the drops out are caused by BT reliability and also an issue related to USB connection, where power to hubs/ports is not sufficient.
There are several fixes found but these don't appear to work for everyone.

Bit concerning. Last thing you want while racing is dropout. Possibly why no other brand has used BT.

Can confirm that my GS wheel is dropping connection at least twice a night, get fed up with it now as it was hardly cheap. Might return it and get a wheel hub and a different wheel using a usb connection.

Or I might have to just return the lot and go back to Simucube, total seller's remorse on that one.

Moza's latest firmware for the GS wheel says it includes a fix for the connection issue, clearly not!

Best to contact them via discord or Facebook. That's not on. Unacceptable imo.

Need to kick off a fuss
