Sim racers - what are you running?

Hmmmm, with the R9 and the better pedals(SRP with loadcell) it's just over 200 more, sad thing though is OCUK doesn't have 2 of the bits(R9 and desk mount) in stock for that so I'd have to go elsewhere.
I'll setup rfactor 2 with my donkey old FF wheel today I think and have a bash for a few hours, make sure I do actually want to spend all that money 8)

Edit. Don't suppose there would be anyone in the Essex, East London area I could come to and just have a go on any direct drive just to see what it feels like?

Just don't go all in if you don't need to!

I still have a TM t150 and T300 rs gt to sell.. I plunged for the R9 and CS V2.. it's been sat in a box for about 8 weeks due to life lol

Pm me there's another site that stocks moza, simagic etc gear and is a very reputable website.

People tend to buy from them when it comes to sim racing gear

Ordered the Moza R5 bundle with the brake performance kit, couldn't justify the extra for the R9.
Now to find a game with a decent career mode to give me something to aim at while learning :)

Hi all,

I need advice on deciding triple monitor size, been trying to do some research and come across both 27'' and 32'' monitors being the so called sweet spot.

Advice welcome, I know triple monitor stands can be adjusted but how wide are triple 27s and 32s on a sim rig.

Thanks!

R5 turned up yesterday, all setup but needed some tweaking. Being an amputee with the other leg quite weak the brake with mod was WAY to stiff. Changed springs and thats all good now.
First impression was DAMN!! is this thing heavy, did some basic setup and had a go on Assetto Corsa last night and wow the difference from my G27 is errr, well yea
Spent this morning sorting the clutch and found a video by boosted on the moza site going through the setup for AC, went through that and quite a difference, much more subtle now and a lot better feel.

Now on the lookout for a spare SRP pedal as I have my throttle on the left, problem is I have a few people want to come and try it out as they are thinking about buying so I need a throttle on the right as well save me keep switching mine from one side to the other.

It probably depends how close you can get the middle screen to your face and the side angles. I think you aim for a 180degree fov, this calc might help.

Ive got 3 x 27 at 20 inches away and 60 degrees side, its a bit too close, Iracing gives 192 fov and makes getting into the rig tricky with bucket seats. Im built more like an old Nascar driver than a young F1 driver )

Forgive the mess, both the rig and fitting it into the spare room with everything else is still a recent work in progress, still need to 3d print mounts , cable tidies , mount shifters, handbrake etc, sort out button box etc.

Its 40/80 40/120 frame (similar dimensions to simlab p1x) with a Trak Racer free standing monitor mount, cut down and bolted to the rig, which makes moving it forward and backward tricky.

This is kinda a simracing/Flight question and as this is the most viewed thread for Rigs probably the best place to ask.

I am looking at a TR160 for my next step up (Currently running a GT Omega wheel stand with the seat add-on and some DIY 180/20 profile to mount my flight sim stuff.
Thing is im looking at getting some proper rudder pedals rather than using the racing pedals (clutch and accelerator) as Non-tied rudder, so I want to be able to swap out my pedals quickly, The TR160 pedal plate is held on with 6-8 countersunk screws from what i can work out so not an easy swap.

Does anyone know a rig where the pedal plate can be swapped quickly? the only one i know of is the monstertech stuff and that is STUPIDLY expensive. like 2-3 times what the TR160 would cost me.
