Sim racers - what are you running?

Does anyone know a rig where the pedal plate can be swapped quickly?

Might something like this work? With a screw through each of the mounting holes the pedals could be 'dropped' into the rig easily enough and that should keep them in position. If you can get hold of wingnuts similar to the one pictured they can be fastened without much faff, and I doubt you'd need all 6-8 of them. Might even get away with two at the front of the pedal plate so it doesn't lift when you stand on them.

I've been having a read though this thread and have made a decision to buy the MOZA Racing R5 Racing Simulator Bundle with MOZA Racing SR-P Lite Brake Pedal Performance Upgrade Kit.

Now here's the thing, I've set my sights on the Next Level Wheel Stand (not sure what one 2.0 or DD) however, I've been reading feedback that the R5 base only fits 2 of the screw positions?

If I buy the MOZA Racing 40mm to 66mm 4 holes Adapter Plate for R5, will this make the R5 base universal to all stands and cockpits?

I've never had to do a return with ocuk

But the paddle shifter on my R5 es wheel has became loose and sometimes needs a few pulls to register a downshift

Are ocuk going to ask me to rip half my rig apart to off the parts.

Losing faith in moza quickly after theetal rod snapped yesterday on my srp pedals as well but thankfully I managed to save them with the srp lite pedals I have from the r5 bundle.

OcUK are usually pretty good with RMA's however If it's the R5 bundle then you may have to send the whole kit back to OcUK.

Seeing more reports like this is not filling me with confidence and might sway me from purchasing altogether. Getting advice to spend more and more each time and if the quality is lacking then long term this isn't a great investment for me.

I did debate on the Moza R9 V2 with SR-P Pedals and CS V2 Steering Wheel however, I might hold now and see what else is available.

It’s been a bit quiet in here of late.

I’ve moved house recently and taken the opportunity to upgrade a couple of bits at the same time. I got a bit of an eBay bargain a few weeks ago, £600ish for a mint P1X & Heusinkveld sprint pedals which also look unused! I swear I like the building just as much as the racing at times!
A bit of building today while I switch from a Sim Lab GT1 and I’m currently building the new Vario triple monitor mount. I’ve not decided which 32" monitors to go for yet though..

I’ll have a full rig left after this with a range of motor mounts and monitor mounts including a set of fanatec pedals, any recommendations for where to sell it all? Is the MM here worth a try?

I bought my son a second hand G29 a few weeks ago, and we've already got the upgrade bug, oops...

We've just got back from a holiday, and spent far less than I'd budgeted for, so I'm thinking about treating him to a new wheel and pedals.

From the replies I've had elsewhere, it looks to be a choice between the Moza R5 and one of the the Fanatec CSL DD READY2RACE bundles, which one would be the best choice?

I see that Moza are about to release the lower priced R3, could that be an option too? Thanks.

Sweet bargain! RaceDepartment, FB marketplace, MM and Gumtree are all worth a try to shift your gear.
If youre a member, Iracing forums also has a busy buy and sell bit in the main forums. ( theres also one in the UK sub forum thats not as well used these days, but i'd post in both for max coverage)

These monitor adapters are an absolute god send if you've triples on Tslot aluminium, makes lining them up much less hassle.

Thanks, I actually have a spare set of those now too, as I was already using them (or rather 1 of them) and the new triple stand also came with a set.

I think I could almost build another rig at this rate! :D

Coming along nicely. Still lots of tweaking & monitors to purchase.

Looks great; I’d love to have a setup like this one day. I enjoy racing games in general but always hit a significant skill barrier! But they’re great fun.

Would you run this off a dedicated PC or would a gaming pc be ok? I guess it would just be the monitors that might be a pain? One for gaming and 3 for racing?

I do quite a bit of gaming outside of Sim Racing, so the way I'm trying to build this is that it will be able to serve both functions. I just bought the Treq advanced keyboard tray as it will articulate into a central position really easily. I really like graphical fidelity and definitely can't be doing with two high spec PC's!

Don't let skill level hold you back, as long as you're having fun, & certainly iRacing or LFM are designed to pit you against others of your skill level.

LFM has a high "Beginners" skill level that i do not like. The times that some of the tracks that LFM asks you to get minimum are faster than the best AI can do in ACC and AI in ACC are pretty quick on higher levels!

I think if I get the space I’d look into it a bit more. I did have a Logitech wheel and wheel Pro Stand a while ago, which I probably shouldn’t have got rid of. Maybe I’ll look at something similar again as I could possibly make that work in the space I have

That’s a fair comment. It took me a while to get mine done at Brands.

did you ever grab yourself a rig?

Got myself a next level wheelstand 2.0 to tie me over as I am currently doing renmovating on my house. 2/3 of it being done so my so called man cave is used as a living room /office /man cave /guest bedroom lol

I'm currently looking at the following after reading through here and other forums :-

CSL DD MCLAREN BUNDLE FOR XBOX & PC

MOZA RACING R5 Bundle Kit

I'd probably be adding extras in to each bundle too, second steering wheel on the Moza, think there are pedal feel upgrades too?

Alternatively, I've been offered the following for £500 + delivery :-

Moza R9 V2 DD wheelbase (boxed)
1 x ES wheel (unboxed*)
1 x Formula rim mod (boxed)
1 x Moza e-stop switch (unboxed)
Fanatec CSL Elite V2 pedals (boxed)

Would this be useable on a desk, (with the base turned down to around 4nm), or would it be too much?

It was all purchased this year too, thanks again.

Ha you here too?

I just replied over on your other thread.

R9 bundle is good and make sure you bolt the pedels on some wood that is up against the wall for no movement when applying braking

Just keeping my options open! ;)

Thanks again for the reply, much appreciated, I was worried that it wouldn't work in his limited setup, but that's made me feel better.
