SimCity V (2013) - screens/artwork and information

I just purchased this game for £15 as I said to myself I wanted to have a go at it if I can get it for cheap.

So far I have to say the game has a cosey feel and I cannot "fault" it thus far.

What are the things which people are hung up on this game exactly?

My own opinion is that there seems to be some "micromanagement" but at the same time it seems some things have been dumbed down.

I know probably you cant answer the question here as it will most probably be in violation as it is a competitor, but would it be possible to email me to my email in trust where it is for £15, as I have been after this for the while but have never wanted to pay full price due to the issues I read about.

Be greatful if you could let me know. Thanks again.

Ive been playing it and honestly, I cant fault it, I am enjoying it quite a lot actually, seeing my little city develop slowly as zones increase in density.

I bought it off the MM for £15 and I think its worth something like that (as opposed to the +£30-£40 that it was originally going for.

I'm really tempted by it to be honest; I enjoyed Sim city when i was a lot younger, aged 6 or so and watching videos of this it does look really good, but even at the best of times my internet is pretty terrible. That coupled with EA's generally bad servers could easily spell waste of money, but idk :(

the game is officially cracked, sounds like online works but without trading and only on one region with 3 cities so far but no doubt that will change eventually...
Nice to know for definite EA lied to us

So much for EA we need master server to control you and sell you DLC, if we didn't do this you would just mod the game and rob us of our income......

Edit: lol nevermind understood.

Shame about the news though :(

Anyone having trouble getting in?

Origin has suddenly decided I don't own Sim City any more, and keeps asking me to activate ... which it can't as the key has been already used. By me. On that very account.

Tried EA "support" and after a 10 minute wait I got asked to try them again in 20 minutes as their systems are down.

SNAP!!

Go to the forums... "they" know there are issues from a origin update and are asking people to inform them so they can sort the issue........

I don't get this game...
I get one city up to say 150k people and then it starts to drop to 100k for no apparent reason.
I also get a message saying there are high wealth jobs that need filling, build services and parks.. which I do... but still nothing.

Is it possible to get to 250kpeople in one city?

Utter flipping numpties. Hopeless company and a terrible software deployment platform.

Found the thread and filled it out : http://answers.ea.com/t5/Miscellane...es-asks-for-code/td-p/1203538/highlight/false
Quick scan of the thread indicated they're mostly retail copies. I got mine via a mate who works at EA, which is slightly ironic. Trying to get back in contact with EA. Online wait is now 50-55 minutes!

220k is my current record, with a fair amount of room left to expand in to. A nasty case of yellow taxi's and traffic pathing bugs blew the city apart though. :(

In my experience population numbers do start to fluctuate quite a lot at these levels though. Probably something to do with the fact they're mostly just made up. ;)

I was going to ask if the game was worth getting yet but reading these last few posts obviously not, at the beginning of the year I couldn't wait for it now Im not going to bother.

I had ~225k at one point on the original version. Then it gridlocked and everything that didn't burn down became a crime den.

Can't check it again now as the region corrupted and got deleted. :(

So, I started a new region. It's been going great.

However one of my immediate neighbours decided to have a nuclear power plant with uneducated sims. Yep, his city burnt to the ground. So now us 3 who are fit by him are getting all his criminals etc. The city is dead, no money and burnt down buildings.

I want to free this plot of land up, demolish everything and plant loads of trees for now. Am I right in saying I cannot kick him from my region? Even though its clear he cannot continue with this save and is unlikely to return to the city?
