SimCity V (2013) - screens/artwork and information

I have a key which I don't have time to use so whomever wants it quote my post and I'll trust it to you. Please make sure your trust is activated.

I'm off out in 15mins so if no one wants it before I leave I'll forward it when I'm back in a couple of hours.

would love to try this plz. My trust up and running

Just played my first hour. First impressions are good, though I'm hoping the maps in the finished game are bigger as this one did seem pretty small. I'm looking forward to opening up some of the other building and travel types in the game. It's a shame so much is unavailable in the beta, but I can see that they didn't want people trying too much so that they are bored of the game when it actually comes out.

All-in-all, I think I will definitely purchase the game when it comes out.

the maps wont be bigger its a limitation of the programming the devs used.

all the sim engine + the game is done on a single cpu core......

Shame, that's going to limit things a bit, unless the maps are better laid out than the demo one. I nearly filled the entire map and even then I only had about 12,000 residents, some commercial and quite a lot of industrial zoning, and then you'd still need space to fit in the advanced stuff like an airport etc.

Kinda liking it so far, the upgrade system is very neat, but still have a few questions.

When zoning, you get the $ area next to the road, which is where basic buildings will build. However there is a line further back - in the same colour as the zone you are laying - does this denote the limit of the biggest $$$ buildings once they upgrade? So if I were to zone say a commercial section, as long as none of these limits are blocked by other things, theoretically that should be all I need to do to ensure even the biggest buildings have enough room to grow?

For those not able to load a city, I ctrl+alt+del out of the game and then re loaded it. That seems to do the trick.

As for the game:

-It feels very small scale. The map size is small, and apparently doesn't get any bigger?

-The graphics are more functional then pretty. Visuals have always been that way with simcity, so this isn't a complaint but an observation.

-I got bored after 40minutes. Again that is to do with the scale of the game.

-I feel that EA are up to something with this region connecting/great works business. I can see a bunch of micro-transactions on the horizon, or trading with your friends. This is only a guess though.

-Maybe I am a miserable ****** but this wasn't that fun or challenging. The gaps in the cities makes it look like your a slum lord rather than a mayor.

All in all it wasn't as bad as I was fearing. Not sure it will suck up 100hours plus like the old ones did..

I must have missed something, I keep getting "this area is not very healthy".
Is that because of bad medical coverage or pollution?

And also is there any other way to lower pollution other than the garbage disposal?
