ive installed this about an hour ago. given ive never played any of the sims games before i thought id try this one. but the taskbar thing is a bit cluttered and i dunno what to do really

Not played it yet, but my sister is complaining that it locks up Windows XP every time she quits. Updated drivers and everything, but no luck, have to reboot comp :(

i like the sports car :D

I've finally got and sat down and played it today. Must say I'm pretty impressed.

Though the AI is so much better and after what happened in my sim house this after noon I'm not leaving it running again while getting coffee.

Lesson never leave your sims running while getting a coffee only leads to a very messy love triangle.

My Sim was dating some dude, he moved in and got her pregnant, now while she was at work some bimbo comes round the house and next thing you know (while I was getting coffee) Joe Sim (that was the dudes name) had pulled the bimbo, moved her in and was getting very friendly with her Then before I could stop it my sim walked in and sparks really flew!!!! Cat fight

And then all 3 of them were living in the house and Joe and the Bimbo were ignoring the pregnant sim, so there was no solution. I had to drown Joe Sim and Bimbo sim in the pool. Small sized pool (6x2 squares) and a diving board no steps, they jump in and can't get out :D

So there was my lonely sim her new born baby and the teenager sim I'd had living there, well next came the pool 'accident'. My sim took it upon herself to go for a swim, (oops forgot to remove the diving board) so she fell in, and I was too poor to buy steps to get her out. So she drowned too :(

Then worried about what would be come of the toddler and teen sim I saw nothing for it and drowned them too. It was an act of sim kindness before the evil social worker showed up.

^^^ ROFL

the other way is to make em walk outside and build a pool around them so they cant go anywhere, then they starve

i adopt my mini sims... i feel sorry for the homeless cpu cycles

Am I being spectacularly thick, as I can't figure out how to alter the buildings my sims live in...? I can't put doors / windows in etc or alter / add walls and stuff, only put furniture etc in the house in 'buy mode'.

Any help appreciate guys!

Cheers

Heh, I actually sniggered out loud at that. Maybe I should try this game sometime (never played the original), although I worry that these type of games could be too consuming or hard to get into.

dan - tried that... shows all the options but they don't seem to work. I can move doors in 'buy mode' tho'

Buy the game, put the disk in, stop using the No-CD crack, and you will be able to build ;)

Got to admire creative anti-piracy measures ;)

Drowning sims is so much fun. When I was about 16 I had a family created with me and my boyfriend at the time and kids. One day we fell out, so I drowned him and moved in with the guy down the road ;)

Runs perfect on full settings on my 5600XT (256mb)

Anyway, yeah, cracking game. Just built the best house I've ever built on the Sims series last night. :)

On a side note, anyone know where we can download new Objects? I miss my pool table :(

it does, if you'd played the original its essentially the same thing with a few more flashy elements.

Has anyone had a problem with the house design tool, not furniture, I mean the building tool, I select it but cant seem to get anything built, it just wont lay anything....:(
