i dont think you can, i hope more people start posting if they getting issues if they are using custom content as if that is the cause with a lot of people than ea have made a huge ******

Cheers. Just read that an Elder male can have a babby with a younger Female but the Elder females just can't. Even with a stud of a Sim like I have.
 
Managed to play for a few hours today. Got one CTD during a save, which lost me 25mins or so, so it wasn't as bad as my usual crashes.

Got about 20k finances now thanks to store partnerships, and I've just bought the bookstore in town so I wonder how much that will net me on payday come Monday morning.

I'm still getting the hang of the game. I just disovered the Edit Town feature but haven't really looked at it in detail, and then I found out that you can collect rocks, butterflies and things for some reason.
 
the way i got loads of cash was i got jiggy with my boss at work who then offered for me to move in, so i moved in locked my boss and her family in a room till they died, moved out of the house with my sim to a new plot and had 325k to spend, good times:D

Im totally addicted and loving collecting gems, bugs, seeds etc
Cant wait for expansions either, anyone any new ideas theyd like to see created?

Think farming could be a possibility, due to some of the already exising content being farm like, haystacks etc.
Not too fussed about seeing Pets done again, never enjoyed them in Sims or Sims 2.

i agree, pets was overhyped, i would love to see farming come into it, get bigger plots out in the country, buy tractors and cows and stuff grow crops would be awesome
 
I can't believe I am enojying this game so much. I have a small plot of land but it really is a full-time job trying to keep a good amount of plants going.

Also, you kind of get attached to your little charaters and don't want them to die. I am tempted to keep ageing off but I want to see some development.

Building dream-homes is also a good laugh. I can spend hours creating a monstrosity that is too expensive for anybody to live in:D

I'm still enjoying this, playing a couple of hours an evening while I'm doing other things.

Loads really really really quickly on my machine, compared to the Sims 2, which took ages to load, even with the spec on my machine.

Sims 3 is brilliant :) fallen back in love with the series, despite owning every Sims gave they've released.

Im the same, so I make them have children and grandchildren to keep the stories going for longer. Im terrible for cheating though and modding. Not about the money, I still have a pretty basic home and do what I have to do to please them, but now my family all have the option to use all the lifetimehappiness rewards. My favorite one is the collection helper. Anyone else have a favorite?
 
I'm a prolific writer so the writing lifetime reward thing boosted my income on Sundays by a nice amount - get about 6k every time. :D
 
Crashing problems stopped after I updated to Windows 7RC. :)

Anyone know if it's possible to get motorbikes in game - I know that none ship with the initial install, but wondered if there were any fan ones or ones on the shop.

Sim-me just doesn't feel complete without a motorbike.
 
Is there much new to this game in terms of a leap from Sims 2?

My sister / girlfriend are both sims addicts and im trying to justify buying this new one... is it really £30's worth of difference from Sims2 and all its add-ons?

im on RC and my sim3 keeps crashing randomly without an error.
