It was a while back of course but not many clubs win anything these days bar the big few.
Does trophies make you a big club? Is it fanbase? Is it a combination?
So in summary:
Rafa Benitez calls Everton a small club.
Alex Ferguson calls him arrogant and says Everton is a big club.
Alex Ferguson calls Newcastle a small club.
Oh the hypocrisy.
If Everton are a big club I'd say Newcastle definitely were and this whole thing proves SAF is an arrogant hypocrit.
Sir Alex always puts his foot in it. Most successful manager in football today can do as he pleases
Everton>>>>>Newcastle>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Liverpool
Everton could easily be top 4 challengers with a bit of cash. Newcastle spent all of Carrols 30m fee and look where they are now...couple of injuries and they're well out of the running for anything this year.
Give Moyes 30m and they'd be fighting for a Champions League position.
Everton and Newcastle are bigger than Liverpool?!
Newcastle are a small club, in terms of history it's not even a dot;
it's not just the amount of supporters which mean you are a big club, it's heritage, history, achievements. It's probably one of the top three supported clubs in England, but just doesn't challenge for trophies.
Last won the league over 80 years ago, last FA Cup trophy was nearly 60 years ago and no major European honours (no the intertoto and interfairs are not major). So yes they are a "wee club".
Posting in here in case it gets moved to SA![]()
LOL your work? its a forum mate, you actually sounded decent by the last thing you posted until you had to put in "wee club" its obvious you just stirring up the pot with your childish comments.
