Indeed, it's going to be difficult for him but obviously SAF believes he's got everything required and in fairness he does know best.

I can fully understand Moyes being given the job, and I do hope he gets the support he deserves - But at the same time, this really is the best possible time for the chasing pack to really push on.

Exactly, how can anyone realistically follow the most successful manager this country has ever seen. Also you only have to hear the negativity towards Fergie when they aren't top after 3 league games to know the uphill battle anyone now has.

United fans have got so used to winning I dread to think what would happen if they did actually go through a barren spell for 2 or 3 years, let alone 7 or 8

It will be but i actually like Moyes tbh, he seems like a decent enough fellow. Im sure next season, SAF will still be there in the background guiding him as some people have alluded to. But still its a job that will really test him, hopefully unlike the classless Chelsea fans...Utd fans give him a chance to prove himself. I dont think it would be fair on Moyes to automatically win trophies next season although he could very well do so.
