Well someone has to say it; Moyes now has got a great chance to start his United tenure with a trophy when we play Wigan in August, fair enough we're only talking the Community Shield but still...

Yep, less pressure than a Manchester derby to start things off.

they might get 3 each

good times

Martinez has won more trophies than Moyes with less budget playing a more expansive game with inferior players .. in 11 years Moyes has had zero success I'm just wondering why people think he is so right for the job.

Maybe it would be worth giving him a chance and you might be pleasantly surprised rather than being relentlessly pessimistic before he's even started?

Moyes might well not be the second coming but then again you've fairly consistently slated Ferguson as well and he won a few trinkets along the way.

It's how Nick does it unfortunately.

He moans about absolutely everyone connected to the club, then when they drop a clanger he can say "I told you so, I said that months back"

It's like when we signed Young, NickG in his wisdom decided to nail him before he had even played a game, insisting we should have signed N'Zogbia as he was the far better player.

That worked out well.

Well Gill, Ferguson, Charlton, and the board and owners think he's the right man. But what do these guys know right?

Give the man a chance.

What has Ashley young contributed? Not much because he's been injured. Unfortunately so gas the zog. Yet when nzofbia plays you always think he looks like he might contribute to the game. Young..well if you call standing still and waiting for Evra to do 70 yard overlapping runs all the time. Then yea Young's a significant contributor.

I agree completely, we should have signed someone who even when he is fit can't get into the worst Villa team in 20 years.

I'll tell you what football Moyes deploys, he plays to his teams strengths, they play some decent football as you may have witnessed when they have had great results against us, they may well boot it up to Fellani's chest and bully teams all over the pitch but that is often dependant on who they are playing against. He seems to have the ability to switch the way they play depending on th opposition (something that you have regularly criticised Fergie about)

Now I don't know if you can grasp this but he will have a much better squad of players to work with, so do you think we should may be give him a chance?

Let's see where he is further down the line, do you think he will be the man in charge if he insists on playing hoof ball up to a big man?
