54g Performance

changed it from 54g performance to Auto and now set at 144mbps, sorted :)

Speed tests on wireless has gone from 17mb to 38mb :)
 
Any Reccomendations for a Router that can work with the Sky MER that will be replacing my 2504N?

I'm wanting increased Wifi Range - £50/£60 is the Budget :)
 
Had my installation today. Openreach guy was a nice chap, even took his shoes off (although wasn't necessary). Offered him a cuppa, get on his good side before he starts.

Getting 4.5MB/s which is what I was expecting if I got 40/10 so I'm extremely pleased. Managed to get a lot of my Steam games updated, great waiting just 5-10 mins rather than 7 hours!
 
So do Sky not do an 80/20 service? I thought they did but with FTTC now live in my area, their checker is coming back with 40.9 for me when the BT wholesale says I should be eligible for 80/20.
 
Just this minute back on line with my sky fibre installed 40000:99996, the engineer was a gentleman and on time. He explained everything as he installed the new bt modem/sky router which l thought was great.

But the only complaint is you lose a port on your Sky router as the bt moden uses one, bt's moden has a seperate one for the router connection. Sky doing it on the cheap, will be buying a new router after my 10 day testing is over at the moo theres just two of use connected to the cabinet[fibre].

Will let yous know how my connection gets on over the next 10 days

LoL its like going from 56k to 1mb, those were the days. :D

Sky Fibre is 40/10 0r 80/20, you have to request sky pro, l find its always best to phone up rather than webchat. ;)
 
IS there anyone here who has had a better connection than was estimated? My install is on the 14th, bt checker estimates 20.9meg, I'm hoping for a bit more!

Yes, I was estimated 58/20 but sync at 80/20 with an attainable rate of 96/29.
