Oh, so if I've got 2 months left with my discount and upgrade to Sky Q, the remaining 10 months of the contract will be full price?

You can't - thank Ofcom for that brain-dead decision.
That said, the Q box's implementation of it is broken.
Well that's ****ing annoying.
The annoying pin thing affects regular sky too, not a new thing
Had a couple of issues upgrading to Sky Go Extra. When I went to upgrade the only option I was getting was 2 months free then £5 per month so I had to give Sky a call and they activated it over the phone and said the £5 issue would be fixed before my bill is due.
Following on from this. I received my bill the other day to find that I was charged £5 for Sky Go extra. I just gave Sky a call and they're now saying Sky Go extra isn't included as part of Sky Q - they've agreed to refund the £5 for this month as I was given wrong info when I called previously however if I want to keep it then it will be £5 per month.
Any other Sky Q customers using Sky Go extra and if so are you being charged for it?
What Q setup do you have BaZ87?
It's only free with multi room.
I can check if you like, but I was advised that Sky Go Extra should be included with your package.
What shows on my Sky+ HD account is a charge for Sky Go EXtra, followed by a credit.
I was under the impression that Sky Go extra was included as part of Sky Q multi room.
I've got the Sky Q 2TB (was the silver) and a mini and when I go to the Sky Q Extra site on Sky, it claims it's £5 per month for me.

It's a mess. If you've got a mini box then surely you've got sky multiscreen and therefore extra should be free?
I had the same issue when I tried to activate Go Extra 10 days ago. I phoned them and they said they'd sort the £5 out before my bill which as above they didn't although hopefully they will now.
