Sky Sports to remain home of Formula 1 until 2029 after deal extended in all Sky markets

Why would they do that though? Their income would be reduced massively. And there'd be adverts. And the quality of programming would drop massively.

Because it's antiquated and more and more people are not paying it (myself and countless people I know have recently scrapped it).

Their revenue will go down because live TV will mostly go the way of the dodo in time.

They won't survive if they don't adapt.

Annoyingly the sky sports app counts as a device watching. I use my grandparents sky go extra (4 devices, 2 at a time) so I watch on xbox and friend shares account on his playstation. Was hoping to try it today but unable too, but kinda makes sense!

I'm enjoying all the new options on the Sky Sports app but unfortunately, it's time lagged behind the live feed by enough to make it really irritating. I don't know what they can do about that.

Well, it's a win for F1 in my case as I wouldn't bother with snoozefest F1 has become if I had to pay for it separately, but as I have Sky Sports for other stuff I might occasionally put it on if I've nothing better to do and be reminded of the tedium.

I signed up to NowTV using an offer of £21 per month for 12 months. I grudged paying even that as the only sport I would watch on Sky is F1. I've had it for 2 months and cancelled it already. My wife sometimes misses the races live but there's often no catchup of the race (or qualifying) for hours afterwards (or even the next day).

You've also got YouTube and the official highlights, makes dull races such as Sunday more bearable.

F1 tv here, i grudge paying sky for it, i was happy with watching it on satellite 19.2e and streaming the english audio from the radio till sky germany got that removed

Ideal length of highlights for me is an hour.

30 mins is too short. And full race is too long.

Still toying with getting rid of f1tv. The Service is great. And on boring weekends (I've had a few) there's so much content it fills time.

But the last few full races have really been a chore. Luckily this one I was able to keep skipping 5 mins and shorten it.
