Skyrim remastered free for pc if you own skyrim already

It's locked at 60, no SLI support, no native ultra wide and juddering like mad!

Bethesda never fail. :D

This lack of 3440x1440p is irritating. Still, smooth as butter on Max settings and it looks great even in 1080p. Still, I'll wait for a 3440x1440p patch, shouldn't be too long :)

Good to see some mods already available!

Change iVSyncPresentInterval to '0' in Skrim Prefs (found in Documents/My Games) to turn off V-Sync. Makes it a little smoother for me.

it's just plain old skyrim with dof, and the horse glitched off my cart at the start and stood in the way of character creation lol

For nexus mod manager, what do I use..? Normal Skyrim? I point it to the directory but no exe found.. What's the correct path?

Do I have to have original skyrim and DLC installed as well?

can confirm I now have it in steam library, the one DLC I was missing cost me £8 so was only an extra £3 over that LE offer. Odd tho that LE can only be got from 3rd parties not directly from steam.

Very, very underwhelming compared to a fully modded with ENB. None of the character models have been updated and the colours look washed out when you're used to running realvision.

If things change once the modders get hold of it, time will tell.

I'm pretty sure they'll change :) Great community, it's what keeps Bethesda in business!

OK the above post definitely solved my stuttering.

Either:

Turn off Gsnyc
Limit it to 60hz
Verify files.

Nice and smooth now!

Yeh, might be worth doing a seperate profile for it in graphics control panel

Bloody Bethseda never changes lol

I'm able to have GYNSC on now in Skyrim and with an increased FOV, thankfully!

Nvidia Control Panel - GSYNC+Vsync or Vsync Fast

Using Msi Afterburner I've limited frame rates to 60fps

Then in Skyrim.ini

This is new???

bUseTAA=1

isnt TAA Nvidias newer AA implementation or am i thinking of something else?

Not sure why you need a code for it for a ini when you can select it in gfx options from launch panel. I noticed it too, tho dunno why its taa isnt it txaa?

Also about the new version of the game. I think its nice that its got some gfx improvements but also the 64bit think and new AA is nice and there should be a few engine improvements. What i think this means is that old mods can be made into better mods and possibly new possibilities for modders that couldnt be done before for one reason or another. Mainly looking at that 64bit addition. So while the launch of the new version of the game might not be all that right now, futher down the line i think modders will appreciate it.

Dumb question time, sorry chaps. If i launch Skyrim through steam will it auto update itself to this new version? If so is it likely to break my installed mods, been playing through for the last four weeks or so and not too far off having done all the main quests n stuff and would be real upset if it breaks my game.

I'm pretty sure if i launch it through nexus mod manager with skse launch option it bypasses the steam launcher, i'm almost certain thats what happened when i did it one time before but i don't think the cloud save then uploaded when i quit the game (no big deal since i'm nearly done with this playthrough anyway tbh).
