Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

I just got my replacement 360, there is one hardware differences I've noticed.
Watch strap is WAY more soft than the original black one i had, however a colleague has the silver and its strap is hard like my original black one.
I'm wondering if the strap softness is to help with the cracking fault...
 
Arrived :D

First impressions good, battery charges insanely quickly. I am using a 2100mA charger and I've had it on charge for 12 mins and its already gone from 0% to 30%!

Finger print magnet annoyingly however :/
 
Im a few days in now on G watch R, Battery is better than i expected, Im easily getting 2 days out of it using it for all notifications and the odd voice thing here and there.

It could do with picking up my wrist movement a bit quicker and displaying the time but an update may help that, might give screen on a go and see how it affects the battery

As above quick charging also helps to make the battery almost a non issue.

Most annoying thing is not watch related but google now, It sends cards at the wrong time of day for my journey from work to home etc. Really wish google would give us some kind of interface to configure what google now is doing behind the scenes. Might just need more time to learn
 
Impressed with the battery life so far. Took it off charge at 7am this morning, am down to 76% now, been using it for notifications throughout the day (Replied to a few with voice recognition etc) Used it for skipping tracks/changing volume etc. This is with the brightness on the lowest setting (which tbf is perfectly adequate in most lighting conditions) and With the screen permanently on.

Ill try and get some up tomorrow. I definitely recommend the LG though. One of the reasons that finally swayed me was the fact that the screen is slightly recessed (due to the traditional timing rim around the edge) So is slightly more protected from bumps and knocks etc.
 
Another days used here too on the LGWR and only at 85%
Well impressed given that i thought id be charging it daily.
Notifications to your wrist also saves your phone battery, especially when you can just dump junk mail and glance at a text

Quite a few customization options and it looks brilliant on my G Watch R. Which then makes me realise... how do I take a screenshot? I enabled ADB debugging on the watch, but that doesn't work as there's no driver for it.

I can easily get 2 days of use with this watch though, I usually only use it to check messages (text, WhatsApp, Facebook, Hangouts), emails, agenda and music control. Pretty good as I don't need to check my phone often, which also helps my phone's battery life.

One complaint, the screen is too bright, even on the lowest setting. Which is fine in daylight but at night it feels like a torch :p.

On the other hand, I'm really tempted to get a black metal strap for it but I can't seem to find one I like...
 
So I've had a G Watch R for two days now. Love it! Glad I didn't go for the M360 now tbh.

Orcvader, I agree, the screen needs a lower brightness setting.
 
Just randomly received a G watch R as part of a sales promotion running this quarter that I had no idea about! First world problem right here!! :cool:

Any must have apps from existing users? also can you put moto 360 watch faces on it or do they all come with a chunk missing at the bottom?

Can we get some more pictures up of the LG G R on people's wrists please? Moto 360 too, if people fancy it :).

Just curious to see how it looks on a range of wrists. I've got pretty small wrists, and I'm worried it'll be just too big/overbearing.
