Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

Are people finding their smartwatches useful? I want to get one but I'm not normally an early adopter. May wait for the next gen devices which will hopefully be a bit smaller...

I find it very useful tbh. From checking notifications, weather, even sat nav directions. :)

I can read Whatsapp messages and not give away to the other person I have (blue ticks). :D

That sounds pretty good. I really want to see one in shops - still can't find any. I know I could buy and return on DSR but it's a bit of a hassle.

Anyone else getting sync loop issue since the new 6.5 play services update?
Was able to fix by rolling it back to 6.1, but now 6.5 has been pushed out, its back.

Just got the 6.5 update too, very fustrating I have to downgrade to fix the problem. It doesn't seem to affect battery life or usage but it's still annoying to have that notification pop up.

What issues is this? I've got GPlay Services 6.5.87 and haven't noticed anything...

Before it use to just say "Connected", now it says "Connected, running sync loop".

Ah! So it does, must have got the update recently as it didn't say that last time I looked....

Bugger, shouldn't have asked, I was blissfully unaware until now. :D

Bit the bullet and ordered a 360 direct from Moto site.
A little peed as it said its in stock but after order said it wont get dispatched till 12/12/2014!!!

Could have got it next day from 02 :(

I've noticed when the display is off and then its turned on there is a very slightly delay till it reports the correct time. It feels as if the time stops when the face goes off and then when its turned on it adjusts to the correct time.

Can anything be done about this?

Have had my LG Watch R for a few days now, it has much better battery life than I was expecting, love the watch face customisation, using Facer. Also not as bulky as I was expecting although I may change the strap for a black metal one soon but that's just my preference.

Overall in really pleased in the way it works, look and feels :)
