Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

I have an Android GTS AD721 smartwatch (Android is the company btw they are a watch manufacturer), a Sony Smartwatch 2 and a Cogito Classic smartwatch.

I think the cogito classic is really nice bit of kit if you don't want a full on smartwatch, and I really love the Sony SW2, although I don't like that there isn't a mic or speaker on it. The Android GTS is nice, just with lots of missed opportunities - they request a crap load of permission, but never do anything useful with them.. like displaying a static calender, but not importing meetings; Requesting email access but not allowing you to do anything on the watch with them (you can't even see them). It is nice to use as a mic/speaker combo though, and seeing texts messages/calls.. but the name integration is limited to calls.. but that doesn't bizarrely extend to sms messages lol. Not really sure what the hell they were thinking lol.

I usually have a headset in so I use Wear Phone to call people without having to pull out the phone, or rely on the voice recognition.

Wear Mini Launcher to change a few settings on the fly and launch the Wear Phone above.

Pujie Black just for the fun of playing with the watch faces. I have it display watch and phone battery on the screen.

Just ordered an LG G Watch R from amazon.fr for £160, good shout :) It's actually for my dad but will give me the chance to have a play with it before the huawei comes out!

LG GWR, XPERIA Z2, Had a problem with Speeds Pro watch face killing phone and watch battery hadn't even been used since december. Uninstalled all back to normal
Paid for that bugger too

Bloody hell, just a week ago paid 190 from amazon! :(

After returning my second moto 360 since January for back cracking problems, I have to say the LG is a far nicer product. The screen is lush :)

Really tempted by the Moto 360. Should I buy or wait ?

I'd wait with the apparent V2 so close. I have the Moto 360 and I do love it, but it does suffer from 'not the best' battery life and the odd stutter. I'm sure the newer version will have better battery life & speed, probably simply by using a newer, more efficient chip.

Saying this, if it goes below £130, it could be worth a punt.
