Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

Asus ZenWatch is under £100. lixxus posted above about the Sony SmartWatch 3 being £99 too but I can only seem to find them at ~£120.

I've never had to adjust the brightness on my Urbane either. I've just left it as it came.

How are you finding the leather strap?
Just picked mine up and I absolutely hate the stiff strap. Does it loosen up?

If I have to buy another strap then the money could go towards a Huawei. Paid £170 for the Urbane and the Huawei is available for £289 which comes with the metal strap in addition to the leather. Better build but worse battery life, argggg ..... talk about going around in circles!

It does loosen up. Get it soaking wet (not the watch, just the strap) and bend it around. It should become supple quite quickly.

Missus bought me the Moto 360 1st gen for Xmas. But she bought it with the metal strap, because, in her words "It looked nicer". Yeah, looking nice is one thing, feeling nice on your wrist is another. And it did not feel nice. Bought a leather strap for it. Replaced it myself last night. Feels so much better. Also got a tempered glass screen the face.

On mid brightness it's fine for both.

Maybe I just had an early model that wasn't very good then. I most definitely needed max brightness when outside in sunshine which was then quite embarrassing when inside, let alone a restaurant or other similar place. Really struggling to fathom the claims of "I never adjusted the brightness".

My Urbane is running on the lowest brightness which seems spot on.

The leather strap is bedding in nicely.

Battery life is pretty good after 15 hrs with it showing 74% remaining.

Anyone with a Urbane? What sort of battery life are you getting?
With a full charge at 8AM with the screen off and reading a few emails I'm down to 91% at 1PM. Is this about right?

Seems high when it doing effectively nothing

I use about 30% battery per day with my Urbane. Always on screen. I took it off charge at about 8am today and it's hovering on 70% at the moment. I could probably extend that by turning the screen off completely when at work as I barely check it when sat at my desk.
