I wouldn't put anything past Nintendo. Behind that kid image they are shaddy as ****.

Plus the unit has been hacked. Wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to limit the distribution.

Stock is always an issue!

Nintendo are in a weird place but I'm not sure whether limiting production is genius maintaining brand desirability or madness missing out on extra money.

I've grabbed 4 so far for other people who couldn't find them... and one for me. All from Amazon Now. 2 hour delivery and £70 each.
They're out there.

Yes or you can just plug in the USB cable to a USB port on your TV. Thats what I have done.

Kids probably not for the most part but a huge number of people that played SNES in their childhood are clearly interested and cannot get them. Exactly like they couldn't with the NES so it's not like Nintendo weren't aware of the demand. It's baffling that they continually drop the ball on supply.

It's classic Nintendo, they always keep the supply low, they will suddenly have more stock just before Christmas and people will go mad to get one.

Then after Christmas the stock issue will go away.
