Well guys, my next-level of cleaning robot has arrived: The
Roborock Q Revo which I got from Amazon for 780 EUR (£666).
Holy moly, finally some proper mopping, it's a complete game-changer for me! I have all hardwood floors and generally HATE mopping and while I did occasionally do it with a steam mop, it was never as often as I should have mopped and it did cause me some level of annoyance knowing my floors were sometimes a bit grubbier than they should have been. The Q Revo has basically removed that stress from my life.
I am still experimenting with settings but currently I have the vacuum set to go and return to clean the mop after every room for maximum hygiene. And man, it
really does clean the mop! Yesterday after the robot had finished its clean and dried the mop I removed the robot and smelled the mops and they smelled fresh as a daisy, completely dry and odourless.
In terms of vacuuming it seems quieter than my old S6 at the same settings and has better obstacle avoidance, cleaning while managing not to hump my chair legs or get stuck trying to go over anything it shouldn't.
The level of automation seems improved with per-room behaviour able to be set, the app seems very flexible other than not being able to say whether the mop only goes back to be cleaned after specific rooms, which is maybe something they can add in future and I will suggest it to Roborock.
This is truly the next level of automation and I am over the ******* moon with it. I will keep fiddling with settings and update this thread as and when I have further thoughts of discover anything new
Here's a review from a major Youtube channel to whet your appetite:
Roborock S7 Pro Ultra, delighted with it. Have mixture of laminate and carpet. Its mop works really well with BiOHY. Bought mine using Shippn via Holland as the retailer I pre-ordered from wouldn't ship directly to UK.
I also want to try the BIOGY or Roborock solution stuff! Is it mainly to avoid mould in the tank or does it actually make floors cleaner and smell nice too?
