So excited..

Surely then you'll then need the removal and refitting of gearbox, gearbox rebuild, as well as fitting lsd to crownwheel.

Wouldn't have thought you'd get much change from 2.5k.

Depends if you like that sort of thing as well, depending on the type of diff, it may be really not nice on a daily drive.

Nowhere close

£850 FITTED.

this is the diff they fit

Rumour has it however that MPG bought a job lot of these, and got a large discount. So it probably only cost them like £400, and they're selling them at cost, and just making labour to bring the business in.

Ok that's a very good price fitted. Certainly not. For everyone though. They can be very grabby over rougher surfaces. See mk1 focus rs reviews. They have a quaife atb fitted as standard. While extremely good at generating traction, they could be a little annoyin for some people on a daily drive.

It doesnt matter anyway its about my car and it getting mended not thats its an Astra and POS with plastic dashboard.

Is it going to get mended or just something else changed and a 'give it a few weeks to bed in'. Really does seem like they are fobbing you off and a custom map is a much better option.

They've been messing you around. But since they are actually being quite good about it, i'd give them one more chance to rectify the problems permanently. Tell them that if you get another error, you're going to want them to take the map off and you'll want your money back, as you can't keep sacrificing your time to fix this (not to mention petrol)

Think that's the most reasonable and practical thing to do tbh. It may not be your daily driver anymore but it's a relatively new car which should be reliable and available for you to use when you see fit/need to.

Well it went into my local TMS performance centre today for its final fix before getting a refund and it seems to be working 100% now. Basically I took the techie out for a hoon with his logging gear hooked up and he concluded that it was overboosting and going into limp home mode. So they removed the map and sent it to superchips who tweaked it and then sent it back.

dear oh dear... this is supposed to be a generic map i take it?

if so id bet its a hardware issue. a boost leak or a duff pressure sensor reporting a figure back to the ecu that it doesnt want to see (ie expected boost and actual boost not being the same)
